The interactive Alaska COVID-19 Dashboard was launched April 2 in an effort to keep Alaskans up to date with the latest information and developments surrounding coronavirus in Alaska and around the world.

“Our public health officials are constantly evaluating the flow of information and the best possible route for supplying Alaskans with timely information,” Gov. Mike Dunleavy noted. “I thank my team for standing up this tool so quickly and for their ongoing work as we navigate this pandemic together.”

The new website provides the most up-to-date Alaska-specific data including areas hardest hit by the virus. It also shows the total number of Alaskans tested as well as data on how many have been infected, hospitalized and died.

DATA AS OF APRIL 5

  • 6,284 Alaskans have been tested for coronavirus
  • 185 total confirmed cases (including those who have recovered)
  • 20 hospitalizations
  • 6 deaths

The data comes from local hospitals and state and commercial labs.

The dashboard also serves to connect Alaskans with federal and Alaska partners working to address the health pandemic.

“I thank our DHSS data team, epidemiology team, and lab team for helping to make this information-filled dashboard a reality as we continue to provide transparency of all data available,” said Dr. Anne Zink, Alaska’s chief medical officer. “We understand this new look may take time to get familiar with and encourage Alaskans to check back in the coming days and weeks as we continue to make updates and changes.”
