As part of a national campaign to highlight the Biden Administration’s policies that have driven up the price of gas, the Alaska chapter of Americans For Prosperity (AFP) is dropping the price at the pump on Aug. 9.

“We’ll be dropping the price of fuel to $2.38, which was what the average price was per gallon the day Joe Biden was sworn in as president,” said Bernadette Wilson, state director of AFP-Alaska.

The location is yet to be announced, but relief at the pump will take place, 3-5 p.m., at a local gas station in Anchorage.

“People will be able to come fill up their cars for the price of $2.38 per gallon and AFP will pay the difference to the gas station ourselves!” Wilson explained.

Similar events have been unfolding across the nation as Americans For Prosperity rolls out its grassroots effort to highlight the reasons behind rising inflation, high gas prices and mounting food bills.

To find out exactly where to go for the $2.38/gallon gas, visit the Americans For Prosperity – Alaska Facebook page at 2 p.m. on Aug. 8. The announcement will be made via Facebook Live at that time.
