In response to a slew of LGBTQ activest-driven drag queen events that target Anchorage children, a new virtue and family centered company is launching “Brave Books Story Hour” at the Loussac Library.

Produced by GoodTube Kids founder Chris Gonzales, the March 18 event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the library.

Gonzales, who recently retired from law enforcement in Anchorage, has launched a new company with the aim of providing parents wholesome resources and educational options for their children. The GoodTube Kids website and social media channels offer a wide range of shows, books, movies, educational materials and presentations that are rooted in traditional family values and Judeo-Christian morality.

The upcoming library event marks the first public offering from GoodTube Kids, with more talks and presentations planned in the weeks and months ahead.

On March 18, Gonzales will read from “As You Grow,” and “The Candy Calamity.” Both titles are from Brave Books, a national company, which has the stated goal to “honor God by shaping a future generation of Americans, who will fight for a nation defined by freedom, truth, humility, bravery and compassion.” The company’s mission is to “help parents instill a love of truth in their children so that the children will withstand harmful progressive influences.”

In a video highlighting the upcoming story hour, Gonzales lamented the fact that LGBTQ activists are increasingly targeting kids, both in Alaska and around the nation, with highly sexualized performances and events.

In particular, he noted the so-called “kid friendly” drag queen shows that are taking place at Cafecito Bonito restaurant in Anchorage.

“This is quite frankly disturbing,” Gonzales said. “It’s obviously not new. It’s not something that hasn’t been happening for a while around the United States and around Anchorage.”

He noted that many parents are rightfully disturbed and looking for effective ways to respond.

“It’s incredible to believe that we have to fight this fight,” Gonzales said. “Obviously it’s on each of our doorsteps and you know better than I that it’s effecting our schools, our communities, our libraries.”

He called it a movement that aims to destroy all standards of good and right throughout the culture.

“Now we have images of our babies being paraded in front of drag performers, and our youth are being told to bring dollar bills to slip to performances during a drag performance,” he said. “I couldn’t be more disturbed that our culture says that’s okay.”

In response to these trends, Gonzales said there must be alternative opportunities for families to learn how to protect and educate children in a more wholesome environment.

To this end, GoodTube Kids is working with Brave Books to host the regular library events, which are free and open to the public.

In addition to the book readings and prizes, parents will have an opportunity to socialize and network.

“We’ll have coloring pages and time to interact all together to give parents resources, to know you’re not alone in this,” Gonzales said.

Yes, it is gross and frustrating that drag queen story hours exist for kids. But those kids are not driving themselves to these things. What can be done about that? Nothing, it is a semi free country. Ha, but alternatives are good to have. Personally, I never bothered to go to the library except to check out books, we had plenty of activities at home, we didn’t need to go to another location to have anyone read us books or perform.

Chris Gonzales is God’s answer to the highly aggressive sodomite movement. Keep praying!

  • Neil DeWitt says:

Thank uou for doing this Mr. Gonzalez. We need more push back and people doing the right thing for children. It’s so sick to think the Anchorage assembly is all for drag queens but not good wholesome family entertainment. It’s sad now kids are being taught It’s ok for this type of conduct, and for them to put money into the “G” string of a gay man. That is child abuse and the courts need to get involved.

  • DaveMaxwell says:

    Awesome

  • Lobo says:

Really glad to see this happening,, Perhaps others will follow along, and create more.

  • DaveMaxwell says:

Although this alternative is tremendous, competitive alternatives are not the answer when we enter into illegal activity! Abusing a child is illegal! The answer to the abuse is not an alternative! It is prosecution! HEY DUNLEAVY, CAN YOU HEAR ME!!!!

  • Candy Slice says:

Clearly none of you have ever been to a drag story hour. It is not sexualized at all, it’s about honoring and accepting differences. The claim that “our youth are being told to bring dollar bills to slip to performances during a drag performance” is a bald faced lie. Children are safer around drag queens than they are around pastors.

Candy Slice – Look at the advertisement
      https://allevents.in/anchorage/drag-loter%C3%ADa-1-year-anniversary-sunday/10000570285287647?ref=footer-up-eventlist
It states “PLEASE BRING $INGLES to tip our amazing lineup of drag performers!”
It also states: “This is an all-ages event and the drag show is family-friendly. Children are allowed, but all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.”
Calling it a bald face lie thereby seems incorrect. As the evidence indicates.

Bravo to you & Good Tube kids. Every bit of pushback, even oblique, is valuable. Where is “Gays Against Grooming” in Anchorage? Why are they silent on this issue?

    • Friend of Humanity says:

Clearly, you are one of the very few that approve of this. In our Heavenly Father’s time, these attacks against our children will come to a grinding halt and what a glorious day that will be! God bless Chris Gonzales for providing wholesome, healthy content for children.

Pedometer alarms go off around perverse people/ drag queen! Attend your nearby church and bring your pedometer. Nothing to see here!

    • Lobo says:

Apparently, your candy is sliced to thin, and you can’t sober up.

    • mboll says:

So, now your going to tell us that all the drag queens are not pedifiles are some were even wrongly convicted.

    • Anon says:

Clearly you have a single digit iQ

      • StopTheMadness says:

May we also consider that the notion of exposing children to men dressed in garish costume and makeup mocking the feminine is highly offensive and derogatory to women?

Should we really be encouraging children to “honor and accept differences” when the “difference” is clearly degrading to women? If someone hosted a blackface for babies event, wherein white people wore outrageous wigs, makeup, and clothing to impersonate, imitate, and degrade African Americans, would you honor and accept the differences of those white people?

Drag is insulting to women and degrades society’s estimation of the feminine. Drag confuses children and exposes them to sexualized costumes and behavior.

    • Michael Hughes says:

Ah, the patriarchy marches forward taking the place of women.

    • Aunt Sally says:

To put it as nicely as possible, Chris, you’re a sick freak and you shouldn’t be anywhere near kids.

      • Aunt Sally says:

With apologies, Chris! That comment was directed toward the disturbed individual posting as “Candy” rather than you.

  • Tamra Nygaard says:

Every aspect of “drag culture” is anathema to women. Not all homosexuals are cursed with hatred for women, but for those who are, they manifest it in this and other truly demonic behaviors, mocking women, reducing them to stereotypes and nothing but makeup, falsies and hooker regalia. Beyond the obvious degradation of men shaking their naughty bits in front of children and collecting money tribute for having done so, every woman should look upon these perverts with the distain they deserve for exhibiting their hatred of women who bore them and sustained them to adulthood.

  • micah6v8 says:

This is excellent. Kudos Chris Gonzales! I am going to reach out to him to see if I can support his organization and maybe read wholesome books in my community library.

  • Lucinda says:

“virtue-based” is a fine example of Christian arrogance.

  • DaveMaxwell says:

I guess Lucinda is done asking what appeared to be sincere seeking questions and now is pursuing he/she/it’s real ambition. Antagonist attacks!

    • Lucinda says:

It’s just that Christians can be so arrogant.

      • Friend of Humanity says:

Lucinda, belief in God Almighty and faith that truth always wins in the end is not arrogance – it is confidence.

  • Lucinda says:

Your truth is not the same as that derived from the scientific method. But your mythology comforts you, despite the cost, so it has some value. Hug your teddy Friend.

    • Friend of Humanity says:

Lucinda, the covid plandemic has taught the world that the “scientific method” is full of lies and has evil intentions to bring down humankind. You are welcome to keep believing in your “scientific method.” Just remember that it is never too late to ask our Heavenly Father to come into your life and fill your soul with the everlasting love that only our Heavenly Father can give you.
