A federal judge has squashed a Dept. of Justice’s attempt to investigate a doctor who claims to have facilitated more transgender services on Alaska youth than any other provider. This includes prescribing life-altering chemicals and hormones aimed at making gender-confused patients physically appear more like the opposite sex.

An Oct. 27 ruling by Judge Jamal Whitehead in the Western District of Washington effectively blocks a DOJ subpoena that was issued to QueerDoc, a telehealth provider offering gender-affirming care in 10 states including Alaska.

The case stems from President Trump’s January 2025 executive orders (14168 and 14187), which reject “gender ideology” and aim to end “chemical and surgical mutilation” of children.

This past July, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced that the DOJ had sent more than 20 subpoenas to doctors and clinics involved in performing transgender medical procedures on children.

“Medical professionals and organizations that mutilated children in the service of a warped ideology will be held accountable by this Department of Justice,” Bondi said at the time.

DOJ subpoenaed QueerDoc on June 11 to investigate the misbranding of puberty blockers and hormones, false claims and fraud in so-called “gender-affirming care.”

QueerDoc founder Crystal Beal appears in an video on the group’s website.

In particular, the DOJ’s subpoena requested personnel files for all QueerDoc employees, contractors, documents related to diagnosis, billing records and protocols, all communications with manufacturers of puberty blockers or hormones for minors, and documentation of patients who were prescribed blockers or hormones.

Judge Whitehead’s ruling, however, claimed the subpoena was a “fishing expedition” aimed at intimidating providers to abandon transgender treatments.

In response to the ruling that blocked the DOJ from investigating the company, QueerDoc said it was one “victory” in a much larger struggle against “white supremacy and corporate power.

“The fight for trans rights is bound up with the fight for immigrant justice, Indigenous sovereignty, Black lives, reproductive freedom, and Palestinian liberation,” the organization’s website stated.

In March, the Watchman published an article about QueerDoc after the organization’s founder, Dr. Crystal Beal wrote a revealing letter to lawmakers in Juneau, defending her highly controversial treatment of gender-confused young Alaskans, and blasting the State Medical Board for recommending that the Legislature ban chemical and surgical cross-sex treatments on minors.

Beal conducts online meetings with clients before prescribing a host of life-altering chemicals and hormones aimed at making her patients appear more like the opposite sex. These hormones can lead to permanent sterility, bone density loss, arrested brain development and much more.

Additionally, QueerDoc provides “surgery referral letters” so that patients can undergo breast amputations, genital alterations and other surgeries aimed at transforming their sexual appearance. The company also helps people change their names and legal documents to match their preferred gender identity.

QueerDoc’s services are offered in Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

According to the group’s website, the business accepts cash and insurance payments before sending its prescriptions electronically to local pharmacies in Alaska.

In order to provide this wide array of billable cross-sex services in Alaska, QueerDoc partners with myriad local doctors and businesses, including Providence, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Alaska Native Medical Center, Allergy, Asma and Immunology Center of Alaska, Palmer Electeology, Renewal Skin Care Studio, Fortson Dermatology and Skin Care and many more. Click here to see a full list of Alaska medical businesses recommended by QueerDoc.

Those seeking surgeries to remove or enhance breasts are referred to Alaska Women’s Health, Alaska Breast Care and Dr. Laurie Bleicher. For orchiectomy (or testicle removal) QueerDoc recommends patients check out Alaska Urology and surgeons Dr. Erwin Tieva and Dr. Zachary Posey. QueerDoc also refers patients to Seattle for more invasive procedures that involve the removal and/or alteration of sexual organs.

Most of these services, QueerDoc notes, are covered by state-funded Alaska Medicaid, this includes penile prosthesis, testicular implants, uterus removal, breast or testicle amputations, removal of a vulva and more.

In her March 25 letter to Alaska lawmakers, boasted of her own work in youth trans medicine.

“I’ve had the privilege of providing care to more transgender youth in Alaska than any other provider,” she asserts. “And I’ve seen firsthand how access to individualized, evidence-based medical care transforms lives.”

So, Alaska pharmacies have no problem filling these prescriptions, but are refusing to fill scripts for hydroxychloroquine?

Who knew Mary Shelley was a prophet. All of this reads like Frankenstein. Stunning the delusion and insanity of providers that would think any of this is acceptable. They are greedy predators. Pity for parents who are so desperate for help they would allow their children to be permanently mutilated.
