New details have emerged regarding the death of Rep. Mary Peltola’s husband, Eugene Peltola, Jr., who died in a plane crash on Sept. 12.

According to the Alaska State Troopers, the plane crash occurred on Sept. 12. Troopers were notified at around 8:50 p.m. of a plane crash approximately 64 miles Northeast of Saint Mary’s, Alaska.

An Emergency Locater Transmitter was activated, which was registered to the 57-year-old Eugene Peltola, Jr., who was piloting the plane with no passengers.

“Two hunters who were at the scene but not involved in the crash provided medical care to the injured pilot and sole occupant of the plane,” the Trooper report stated.

An Alaska Air National Guard rescue team was deployed to the scene, which arrived early in the morning of September 13. The pilot was confirmed to be Peltola who was flying a Piper Supercub that crashed just after departure.

“Peltola unfortunately died before the rescue team arrived,” the Troopers noted. “The rescue team transported Peltola and the two uninjured hunters back to Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson.”

Peltola’s body was brought to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and there is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.

Prayers for Mrs. Peltola and her family that God will provide comfort to them at this time.

    • Jen says:

Peltola and her family aren’t Christian, if she is then her actions reflect she doesn’t know God’s Word. Let The dead comfort one another. She being a Woke leftist act more like Caananites (Isreal’s ancient enemies) than Christian. (And putting one’s hand in the Bible while taking the oath of office doesn’t make one a Christian. )

      • Lucinda says:

Jen. Your constant deliberations on christianity are off putting. It’s the arrogance and certainty that turns people away.

  • Steve P Peterson says:

The death of anyone is a tragedy and should cause each of us to pause and examine our relationship with our Maker. I’m sure his death is causing great pain to his family and we must give them their space.

  • John J Otness says:

Amen Jen. An eternity of ignorance and obstinance awaits the put off by the truth you speak. Let alone Hell.

  • CMB says:

Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart. Being kind is always right and hurting people hurt people. Why do you have to be so rude?

    • John J Otness says:

Not one lives forever. Who is kinder the man who scrubs and dresses the wound in pain or the kiss that allows infection… Everybody speaks as if death is not a part of life and that the soul should not be prepared… that is what is rude in the long run.
