For Alaskans who wish to do more home improvements in 2020 without funneling money to a massive corporation that supports abortion and same-sex “marriage,” there are options.

According to 2ndVote, a national watchdog group that monitors the philanthropy of major corporations, Home Depot scores poorly when it comes issues like abortion, same-sex “marriage” and religious liberty.

Each week 2ndVote takes a look at a popular company that performs poorly on the 2ndVote scoring system and then provides better alternatives for shopping at companies that support traditional family values.

Home Depot also contributes to different organizations that support the limitation of religious liberty.

The latest report focuses on Home Depot – the largest home improvement retailer in the United States.

“Even though Home Depot is a popular place to shop for home improvement needs, buying products there undermines your values based on their continuous support of the leftist agenda,” the 2ndVote report states.

2ndVote notes that Home Depot contributes to YWCA, which supports pro-choice and same-sex marriage. “Home Depot also contributes to different organizations that support the limitation of religious liberty,” 2ndVote website states.

To shop for home improvement supplies without sacrificing conservative values, 2ndVote recommends going to ACE Hardware or True Value Hardware, both of which have stores across Alaska.

“These are great alternatives to shop at without sacrificing your values,” 2ndVote observes. “Their neutral stance on issues and commitment to their customers is why 2ndVote has deemed them better alternatives to The Home Depot.”
