Nicole Lewis, 41, pleaded guilty to felony theft for stealing from Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish in Anchorage.
Hired as the parish office manager in 2021, Lewis proceeded to steal more than $65,000 in cash donations to the church and its small elementary grade school, which operates on the same grounds.
According to the Alaska Department of Law, Lewis also made more than $35,000 in unauthorized purchases on church credit cards assigned to herself and other employees including: personal food delivery, groceries, plane tickets, furniture and lingerie.
She was fired by the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau on June 15, 2023, after a meeting where she admitted to the unauthorized purchases on credit cards.
On Sept. 23, Anchorage Superior Court Judge Andrew Peterson found her guilty of theft in the second degree and ordered her to serve 24 months with 20 months suspended with five years of probation to follow after her sentence. During her probation time, she has been ordered to repay the amount stolen in restitution. A judgment for more than $100,000 in restitution was obtained by the state.

it’s pretty sad that somebody going to steal money from one of the most humble and help churches in the world
well while this wrong, I hardly call the catholic church humble. they are a criminal organization that dates back hundreds of years…….read some history
An unbelievable amount of earthly money made by violating 1 Timothy 2:5
Would community prayer for her return to godliness help? Should we pray that the ends, like her well-being as a Christian woman in Alaska , outweighs the means how she bled the secular beast ? I’m only asking questions because I’m no to familial with politics.
You may not be “familia with politics” but you’re obviously familiar with seizing any opportunity to mock all Christians, prayer and God. She stole and will be punished according to the rule of law. Period.
