The upcoming June 28 Anchorage Pride Parade of suggestively-clad and sexualized drag queens, transgender unicorns, rainbow-draped abortion activists and gender-confused children wouldn’t be possible without the considerable financial support of major corporate donors, Alaska nonprofits and a litany of local businesses.
Those who have signed up early to underwrite this year’s public spectacle of LGBTQAI2+ sexuality are “Official Parade Partners” Alaska Airlines and the Pride Foundation, along with “platinum sponsors” Alyeska Pipeline, ConocoPhillips, GCI, Choosing Our Roots, and Congregation Beth Shalom. “Gold sponsors” for 2025 listed as the Anchorage Assembly and St. John United Methodist Church.
If last year was any indication, many more sponsors are expected to pitch in for what has become Alaska’s largest parade. In 2024, Walmart, Fred Meyer, the Rasmusen Foundation, Anchorage Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Credit 1, Mayor Suzanne LaFrance and STOEL RIVES LLP all helped fund the controversial event in which young children were enlisted to carry LGBTQ sexuality flags and signs.
Other 2024 supporters and participants in the downtown Pride Parade included: American Red Cross, REI, American Federation of Suicide Prevention, NAACP of Alaska, Rage City Roller Derby, YWCA of Alaska, Encore Salon, Alaska Women Ascend, Queers for Palestine, Alaska Rainbow Elders, and the National Park Service.

Renewal by Anderson, Alaska Center, University of Alaska, Four A’s, and many other entities set up booths last year, during a post-parade revelry at Delaney Park Strip, which included drag queen dancers prancing in front of young children as kids impersonated them.
The parade is organized by Alaskans Together for Equality, which supports cross-sex hormones for youth, irreversible sex-change operations, abortion on demand, biological males having access to women’s bathrooms, gender-confused males being allowed to compete on girls’ sports teams, drag-queen story hours for children, gay marriage and much more.
Organizers are currently accepting applications for 2025 participants and sponsors in hope of making this year’s parade the largest ever.
In large part, the annual event is a targeted event aimed to enlist and inspire activists to advance many of the most controversial elements associated with the LGBTQ agenda.

Or prior. That’s a travesty and whomever is responsible for this misappropriation should definitely be relieved of their responsibility. It is criminal to have a subordinate government agency inappropriately filtering money to fund an individual member’s preference for aberrant behavior.
John–the National Park Service did not donate to 2024 Pride. NPS employees did march last year as they have constitutional rights to speech and assembly. Trump’s executive orders would not apply to off-duty speech.

A clear deterioration of morals in our society is in full progress. I am not shocked at much anymore, but I am at who some of these sponsors are.
I’m Gay, biologically male, a lifelong Alaskan and proud supporter of the Gay and Lesbian community members and our quest for constitutionally mandated civil rights. I was sexually abused by Roman Catholic clergy in this state as were many others, particularly in rural areas which were the dumping ground for pedophile priests. I would always prefer that my children be exposed to many cultures, learn tolerance and appreciation of others who may simply be different. That said, I will have my kids around drag queens for story hour literacy events over proximity to Catholic Pedophile priests.
Once and addict always an addict I suppose. Trauma bonding is not healing and trans culture is not a culture, it is a small consensus of mentally ill abuse victims. You aren’t supposed to identify as your traumas, you are supposed to heal from them and learn from your mistakes, not cultivate a society that draws others into the sickness. Get real.

I have all the same questions. The “Anchorage Assembly” is listed as a Gold Sponsor for 2025. Does that mean the assembly members contributed their own money or are they appropriating taxpayer money of this sponsorship? By “Anchorage Assembly”, does that mean all of the elected members unanimously chose to financially support this event? Or is the true sponsoring group “Some Members of the Anchorage Assembly”?

I used to have a live and let live perspective when it came to Drag. I even watched their performances regularly and even did some awesome photo shoots at Mad Myrnas a couple times. However, drag performances should be left at that. Performances. Left in age restricted environments as they are sexually explicit in nature. Now we fast forward to our current time and the drag community has demonstrated they aren’t satisfied with having their own space, They had to push the social boundaries and flaunt their profession as some sort of lifestyle that requires the attention of everyone. They have corporate backing pushing their branding in every direction possible. They push their social engineering as if they are some sort of oppressed people, when they are not.
It would be like me sitting at home trying to watch my own selected entertainment and then having some football ads shouting at me that I MUST watch them or I will be labeled as some kind of bigot.
What we see from the drag community are people who just can’t get enough attention and will stop at nothing to force their agenda on an unwilling masses. The best way to do that is through vulnerable children.

A whole lot of companies are supporting a parade that honors LGBTQ+, and they are right to do so. Certainly most of them have employees that are LGBTQ+. Why are you all afraid of people that are different?
Son, we live in Alaska. Everyone is a little “different”. The issue is the cult like following that elevates the strangest of us as the pinnacles of humanity. The problem is the amount of media promotion that is pushed in our face over a minority of people. The problem is that the LGBTQ+ at it’s core is sexual identity which is then pushed on children with all the bright colors and flamboyant attitudes. If you wanna be strange and put your pole in the brown hole, be my guest, but keep that crap to yourself. I will treat you like a person, just stop trying to push your sexual desires, fetishes, and other weirdness on us as some personality trait. You don’t deserve all the attention you demand, get over yourself.
