For 40 years, HeartReach Center in Wasilla has provided a pro-life space for women who have experienced a crisis pregnancy, sexual trauma or other life-altering situations.
This past year, the growing outreach reported that it has doubled its impact with 4,312 total visits, 1,352 parenting classes (650 females and 119 males), 1,390 spiritual conversations, 26,639 items distributed, 690 essential needs fulfilled, 323 pregnancy tests, 359 ultrasounds, 76 STI/STD tests, 15 abortion-reversal pill clients and two successful reversals of attempted abortions.
“It is a time to rejoice and revere God’s provision and His amazing grace,” Executive Director Joyce Moropoulos noted at the group’s recent fall benefit dinner. “I am extremely appreciative of those that have laid a foundation for this agency and persevered through challenges to establish HeartReach and ensure its growth.”
The expanding ministry recently added a medical wing to help provide even more services.

“Every statistic is a name, a face, and a life that matters deeply to God,” Moropoulos noted. “We believe our mission is not something we can do alone, but a spiritual calling that requires a community of people faithfully interceding in prayer. When you pray for HRC, you are standing with clients in their most vulnerable moments. You are asking God to bring peace where there has been pain, hope where there has been despair, and restoration where there has been loss.”
HeartReach is now gearing up for its “Client Christmas Event,” in which allows those enrolled in the parenting program to select free items to take home for Christmas.
“It is our hope that these items contribute to a joyous Christmas celebration, and the love of Jesus is expressed above and beyond during this cold and often difficult time of year,” Moropoulos stated in a recent email to supporters.
The Christmas event will be held on Dec. 9, but HeartReach is asking supporters to help fund the outreach ahead of time. Those who are interested can contribute at Giving Online and by noting “Client Christmas” in the memo space provided. Additionally, checks can be mailed to 865 S. Seward Meridian Pkwy Wasilla, AK 99654 with a note that the contribution is for the Christmas event.

I’ve never heard of this facility before. Finally, a solution to anxiety and decisions with a peaceful outcome. I can hope to think this facility has saved many lives.
HeartReach has been in the valley for decades, originally under a different name but changed to HeartReach so long ago I cannot remember. They have quietly done so much for the community and work with most of the churches around the valley without a lot of money spent on any advertising hence why you may not have heard of them. Their funds predominantly go to serving their clients. A wonderful organization to support! ❤️❤️
Amen, God created these Children.
