Amid COVID mandates, critical race theory, LGBT agendas and a litany of other issues playing out in Alaska’s public schools, a new website has been launched to help Alaska parents engage with local school officials.

“Be bold, but be kind,” the website states. “Often it is hard to figure out how to make positive change. Letting the school board and the superintendent know how you think about things is the first step I would take.”

The new website encourages parents to “show up to school board meetings, make appointments with the superintendent’s office. Let your voice be heard.”

It’s not clear who is behind ReachTheSchools.com, but the site provides extensive information on how to contact school board members, superintendents and district leaders in Kenai, Mat-Su, Anchorage and Fairbanks. It also provides details on upcoming school board meetings, including times, locations and how to testify at meetings.
