Dr. Ben Carson, a former Republican presidential candidate and Housing & Urban Development Secretary under President Trump, will be in Anchorage next week.

The Anchorage Republican Women’s Club is bringing Carson to Alaska as part of its fundraising efforts. He will first attend a $300-a-head VIP reception on Aug. 22. Later that evening he will give a talk at Cornerstone Church. Admission to the second event is $100 (children with parents are free).

Carson ran for president in 2016, and later served as Trump’s HUD secretary. He also founded, and chairs, the American Cornerstone Institute, which is described as a “think-tank-do-tank.”

For roughly three decades, Carson directed pediatric neurosurgery at John Hopkins Children’s Center. He assumed that post at age 33, becoming the youngest major division director in the hospital’s history.

Since then, he has received myriad honors and awards for his achievements, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Oh, it must be a fundraiser event – $400 total. Darn. I would have loved to hear him talk in person! He is a very respectable Christian man in my book.

Humble, competent, Genuine Christian, equates to poisoning children in asd world! The superintendent is an embarrassment, and if I were Dr Carson, I’d be embarrassed to have dunleavy who has been skewered by this punk superintendent come along with me to alternative venues! Maybe the Dr can question this idiot governor on his use of psychotropic drugs on Christians? Whatever happened to Mary Fulp?
