The left is almost always more vocal when it comes to rattling cages down in Juneau.  Community activism runs in the blood of liberals and those who worship at the altar of Big Government.
That rarely means their opinion is in the majority.

That’s precisely the case right now with HB 183, a bill Rep. Jamie Allard from Eagle River has introduced that ensures women’s athletics programs in public schools are actually reserved for women — not biological men.

In October of last year, the Alaska School Activities Association (ASAA) voted to ban gender-confused biological males from competing in high school sports that are specifically designated for girls. That decision came after the Alaska State Board of Education (ASBE) voted unanimously earlier to do the same.

The regulation now in place, however, can be changed by a future governor who might appoint new members on either of those two governing bodies.

To protect girls sports more permanently, the Legislature needs to pass a law, as 22 other states have done, to make sure girls can compete in their own sport – on a level playing field.

Rep. Jamie Allard’s bill, HB183, was initially heard on March 15th in the AK House Education Committee, but there was no time for public testimony. A second hearing, is set for Monday, March 25 at 8 a.m.

The absolute best way YOU can protect women’s sports in Alaska right now is to click HERE to send one email to the Education Committee. You do not need to send more than one as it goes to each member.
It will take you less than 5 minutes but it will ensure discrimination against girls and women does not occur – that they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in athletic programs compared to male-bodied athletes.

If you think this is an “anti-LGBTQ” bill, two of the greatest athletes of all time, Martina Navratilova, an openly lesbian tennis legend and gay rights activist as well as Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, an Olympic gold medalist in the Decathlon, have both come out in full support of common sense legislation like HB183.

“The world’s gone mad,” Brenner says. “It was never meant to be like this.”

“It’s insane and it’s cheating.” said Navratilova, “I am happy to address a transgender woman in whatever form she prefers, but I would not be happy to compete against her. It would not be fair.”

Can’t get any more accurate than that.

Please, take that 5 minutes right now to CLICK HERE and let the AK House Education Committee know that proclaiming to be a female doesn’t give you the right to be able to compete against women and eliminate their hopes and dreams and hard work. Encourage them to vote YES on HB183 and keep boys out of girls sports.

And please, share this email with a few people you know who also believe women’s sports should be protected.

Click HERE to see a support statement of SB140, a similar bill in the Alaska Senate that was signed by former and current Alaskan coaches and athletes. Alaska Family Action also conducted an online petition to protect girls sports that generated over 2,000 signatures. We have the majority on this issue.

It’s time to step up again.

Jill , or should I address jack? Your thinking is irrational! Jack and Jill went up the hill, drank the water , came back down the hill , lost their identity and became gender confused!

Jamie Allard, I’m so glad she’s in Juneau fighting for us.
    Your born a boy you’re a boy.
Your our born a girl you’re a girl.
No mater how much you mutilate your body.
God created man and woman , end of story.
