The monumental effort to repeal Alaska’s highly controversial and confusing ranked-choice voting system appears to have succeeded by the narrowest of margins.
As of Nov. 12, Alaska Division of Elections had counted 401 out of 403 political precincts throughout the state. The only two that have yet to report results are Atquasuk in Northern Alaska, and Akiachak in Western Alaska. Combined, these two districts have a total of 598 registered voters.
The “yes” votes to pass Ballot Measure 2, however, have a 4,137 lead. Even if every registered voter in the two nonreporting districts voted “no,” the ballot proposition would still pass, and thereby end ranked-choice voting in Alaska.
The successful repeal effort means Alaska will now return to its traditional party primaries and historic election system.

The precincts are Excursion Inlet and Pelican votes that entered manuallu. They were entered wrong so its a mess. Dahlstrom is a slow learner and not efficient.
