A coalition of conservative-minded groups from Alaska is offering a panel discussion for those who might be interested in running for political office in the near future.
“Are you or someone you know a good political candidate in the making?” a flyer for the Dec. 19 event asks. “Learn from current and former elected officials, campaign managers, volunteers and family members as they give their unique perspectives on what it’s like campaigning and serving in office.”
Moderated by Jim Minnery (Alaska Family Council) and Gabby Ide (Moms for Liberty), the panel discussion includes former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson, Anchorage Assemblyman Randy Sulte, Anchorage Assembly candidate Jared Goecker and others.
The event will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. at 2511 Sentry Drive in Anchorage. Those who can’t make it will be able to join via Zoom (Meeting ID: 752593 4731).
Event organizer, The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) is a right-of-center, conservative alternative for Americans aged 50 and over. AMAC’s mission includes faith, family and freedom and an unabashed belief in the American dream, sanctity of the U.S. Constitution, fidelity to the nation’s Founders and gratitude for religious freedom and the First and Second Amendments.

This whole left vs right political system is what keeps the American people divided.
The “issues” that the system keeps telling us is important does not motivate me to vote.
All the social justice issues are not points of which I wish to vote on.
Once the system understands what We the People actually want, is when there will be more participation in it.
To run as a conservative, means having to choose a team and be divided against the other team.
I will vote for unit which means I don’t participate in this divisive game at all.
Fellow readers, this is a call to action. Choose unity with all our fellow countrymen. Overthrow the 2 party system.
Oh this headline…. I really hoped it would be an empty white page. Just because it would be funny! (Not because I don’t want conservatives in office—eat worms, trolls.)
Jim Minnery was happy to run Rep David Eastman out of town. There has got to be a different way to get people to step up to the plate.
