On Jan. 22, the 52 anniversary of Roe v. Wade, pro-life and pro-family Soldotna residents are going to be busy.

First, from 1-4 p.m., pro-life advocates will peacefully demonstrate against the killing of unborn babies during a rally at the Soldotna Y traffic light (at the junction of the Spur and Sterling Highways). Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a sign if possible. Extra signs may be available.
From 4:30-5:30 p.m. concerned citizens will then gather at the Ammo-Can Coffee Social Club (in Soldotna on the Spur Highway located by the UPS store).

“The purpose of the meeting is to organize and strategize about how best to combat the various and relentless leftist efforts to degrade and destroy the Christian ethic that is the bedrock of our community,” a notice from organizer Toby Burke states. “Under one umbrella we hope to address future pro-life efforts as well as efforts to combat Pride In The Park, Drag Queen Story Hours, Homosexual and Transgender literature in our libraries targeting children, and school curricula that advocate for Homosexual and Transgender lifestyles, contraception, and abortion among our youth. Come help lay the foundation for defending and strengthening our community in a more comprehensive way.”

Finally, at 6 p.m., residents are encouraged to head down to the monthly Soldotna City Council meeting at the Soldotna Municipal Building to publicly address councilmen concerning the annual June Pride in the Park event.

“Concerned citizens of the Peninsula should demand the City of Soldotna stop allowing their public parks to be venues for lewd sexualized behavior (in violation against existing city ordinances) thereby maintaining high standards of public decency, for the benefit of all,” the notice explains.

“It is better to light one candle than curse the darkness,” Burke concludes. “Make a sacrifice, tomorrow, lend your voice to one or more efforts to reclaim your community and state. Do your part to make your community and state great again!

Anchorage needs to do the same! This LGBTQ+ crap has gotten out of hand. Yes they can do what tgey want and I’m not denying that. The thing I speak of is they want special rights and they are different but need professional help not more rights than others! We all need to have the same rights. No special rights for a select group. In all this LGBTQ+, Black’s, Spanish, and all others the White man has been so discriminated against its not funny. Does the white man have a day, week, or month for celibration? No! How about we level the playing field again? It has a bad tilt to it all!
