Sometimes a story hits you in the gut.
This past week, Live Action released a troubling undercover report: Planned Parenthood clinics across the country are fast-tracking vulnerable minors into receiving cross-sex hormones, often in a single virtual visit. No therapy. No mental health evaluations. Just a quick appointment and a prescription for powerful, body-altering, permanently damaging drugs.
At one Minnesota location, when the undercover journalist, posing as a 16-year-old girl, asked if she could get hormones that same day, the Planned Parenthood staffer replied, “At the end [of the appointment], they will then be prescribing hormones.” In New York? “Same day,” said another staff member, “they’ll send the prescription to your pharmacy.” [Nancy Flanders, Live Action]
This is not healthcare. This is profit-driven exploitation disguised as affirmation — and it’s happening under the banner of one of the largest taxpayer-funded organizations in America.
The Cass Review — commissioned by the U.K.’s National Health Service — found that “socially transitioning” children leads many into irreversible medical interventions with no clear mental health benefit. Even secular nations are pulling back. Isn’t it time Alaska did too?
As we’ve written about, the Alaska Board of Medicine has already unanimously adopted a statement urging the Alaska Legislature to stop chemical and surgical mutilation of minors. But, because of the Democrat-controlled House and Senate, no action is likely to take place. Alaska Family Council will continue to advocate for the Board of Medicine, the Board of Pharmacy and other groups to take steps to prevent this kind of medical malpractice from harming children in our state.
Let’s call this what it is: predatory ideological grooming, funded by public dollars, carried out by an organization with a track record of pushing dangerous medical practices on vulnerable young people.
It’s no longer a question of whether Planned Parenthood is harming children. The only question is: Will we continue to fund it?
This is why Alaska Family Council exists — to shine a light on darkness, to stand for truth, and to protect children from harm.

Planned Parenthood claims to provide healthcare for women, but their goal is profit, and their profits are driven by the slaughter and mutilation of children, both unborn and born. Planned Parenthood should not receive a single cent of taxpayers’ money!
