Bethel area parents and community members plan to share their concerns about a male elementary school teacher who claims to be a woman, while wearing dresses in front of his young students.

Set to begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 26, a regularly scheduled Bethel Regional Advisory School Board meeting will occur at Mikelnguut Elitnaurviat Elementary School. The gathering includes a public comment period that will begin immediately after being called to order.

Over the past week, Bethel residents have raised concerns over the fact that a sixth-grade teacher who goes by the name of “Madeliene Tietz” has been hired by hired at Gladys Jung Elementary School. Tietz is an ardent LGBTQ activist who dons dresses during class and goes by the name of “Ms. Maddie.”

His social media pages contain a photos of him marching in a LGBTQ parade, posing with scantily clad drag queens and holding a rainbow sign stating, “Born this way.”

The school’s decision to hire Tietz has disturbed a number of his students and has prompted at least a third of families to pull their children from his class, pending requests to transfer to another teacher. Some parents have opted to homeschool rather than be forced to have their children in Tietz’s class.

Several parents are planning to attend the upcoming meeting to voice their concerns.

This isn’t the first time Tietz has stirred controversy among worried parents with his cross-sex personal identity at school. He faced similar complaints in a previous jobs in Wisconsin and the village of Kwigillingok, which is located about 90 air miles from Bethel.

    Will she float?

    • Scrumptious Clam says:

Are you suggesting she be tossed in the Kuskokwim?

    • Sanctus Sanitas says:

      She?
If you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?

    • Tamra Nygaard says:

She, who? He is a man.

      • Proud Alaskan says:

God made man and women end of story.
Wearing a dress or doing other stupid things to you body, you’re still a man.

    • Alaskanyuk says:

You guys don’t get it, Manny is just saying that HE will sink after the board meeting. The parents are going to bring some common sense that the education system doesn’t believe in anymore these days.

      • Manny Mullen says:

No, that is not what I meant. I meant that, to quote the Vandal Dictator, it’s a witch hunt.

      • Scrumptious Clam says:

        * frock

      • Scrumptious Clam says:

Couldn’t be. Manny’s a fan of the d, even when attached to a school roaming ‘c**k in a frock’ predator. Truly a revolting individual.

  • Jen L says:

Bethel parents, stand strong and reclaim your school from the insanity of the marxist left who wants you and your children to live the lie of a mentally ill XY male crossdresser who imagines himself a woman. This man should not be around children, period.

    • Mary Cook says:

Jen, you are absolutely correct. And parents who tolerate this behavior in front of their children should be ashamed !

  • Manny Mullens says:

Clam, regardless of whether im a fan of the d, you do not have sufficient evidence for your claim. This is typical of far right fringe religious tooters. Assessing evidence with reason, using critical thinking to arrive at a defensible conclusion are skills you currently do not possess. Drop your gullibility, park your anger, look at the world for what it is and not just what you want it to be. Life will be better. Follow my teachings here.

Prepare your vessel, Mullens; class is in session.
Item #1 / You are incorrect. My evidence of your homosexuality is your appetite for and unwavering support of aberrant sexual inclinations.
Item #2 / You are incorrect. I am agnostic with atheist leanings. I have no faith and find the concept of faith illusive.
Item #3 / You are incorrect. If one of us has a critical thinking deficit it would be the one that clearly botched items 1 & 2.
Item #4 / You are incorrect. I am not angry, I do see the world for what it is and I don’t have an issue w/ consenting adults that share deviant sexual desires in private. I do take issue when they enter the school system with an eye toward influencing a child’s development.
If it’s edification you wish to share please tell us why the homosexual community is over represented in the more unfortunate news events. Need examples from this week? How about the APD employee caught shoplifting at Target, the MN tranny that shot up Catholic children in a church setting, or you may pick from any of the others.
The primary question would be: are they all mentally ill or only the ones we’re exposed to and
The secondary question would be: if the homosexual community is known to be unstable how would you compensate the children that this Bethel tranny is grooming for future compromise?
If any among us are to be protected it is our children and allowing someone w/ demonstrably deviant sexual needs the opportunity to compromise our children is a poor strategy. Perhaps that person could learn a skill and try their hand at the trades?
