For Alaskans who’ve just decided to run for political office, there’s a lot involved in building a successful campaign in local or statewide races.
In order to empower would-be politicians, the Alaska Republican Party is offering a one-day training session on Oct. 25 in Anchorage.
The session will cover key areas of campaign operations, including fundraising, political strategy, communications, data, and digital engagement.
“The goal is to give you the tools needed to run a successful race in 2026 and beyond,” a notice for the session explains.
The training will be on Saturday, October 25th and run from 8am-5pm. Lunch will be provided.”

We’re talking about the Alaska GOP, right? The very same GOP that has Lisa Murkowski and enough members in the State House/Senate to defect over to join the democrats.
Our issue is definitely NOT being too extreme, our issue is that our representatives are NOT supporting the core values of the party/constituents.

So, Carmella was elected to the position by district chairs and delegates. Did you serve as a district chair or a delegate? I did not at the last convention- but I understand she had broad support. If you think you can be an improvement, then you should run.

Total support for Carmella as chair was 74 votes. No one in the state knew her but her husband worked it so she ran and was voted in in one meeting. The rest of the Republicans were in shock. Hey, it pays for her and hubby to travel and per diem and any other moneys and event they can help themselves too. Her hubby was the Finance person at the time.
