The new head of the College of Health for the University of Alaska Anchorage is a divisive national figure who marched in lockstep with Dr. Anthony Fauci to push a wide array of controversial Covid protocols such as universal masking, shuttering churches, repeated booster shots, social distancing, sheltering in place, school closures and more.

Dr. Jay Butler

As the former Deputy Director of Infectious Diseases at the CDC, Dr. Jay Butler was also part of a unified front in condemning the use of ivermectin to help treat Covid patients, an option that turned out to be effective for many people.

Later this year, Butler will take over control of UAA College of Health, which has the stated mission to advance “the health and well-being of people and communities in Alaska and abroad through high-impact education, research, and community service.” Butler will direct and oversee the development of Alaska’s future health care workforce.

Butler is the former Chief Medical Officer for the State of Alaska. He served in that capacity from 2014 to 2019. In April of 2019, he was tapped to serve as the Deputy Director for Infectious Diseases at the CDC – a post he held until 2023.

In this capacity, he was a major leader in spearheading the CDC’s national response to Covid. In 2020, he served as Incident Manager for the CDC, helping coordinate emergency responses, setting agency priorities, and collaborating with other health organizations to address infectious diseases.

Together with Dr. Fauci, who led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Butler worked collaboratively to advance a unified front on Covid. They were among the most prominent government health officials disseminating Covid-related information to the public and often made complementary public statements and recommendations, such as emphasizing the necessity of mask-wearing, social distancing and the necessity of taking experimental Covid shots.

From February 2023 to May 2025, Butler was the CDC’s Associate Director for Infectious Diseases, working in the Office of Readiness and Response. He also collaborated with left-of-center groups like the Infectious Diseases Society of America to craft public health messaging and address so-called “misinformation,” which largely focused on discrediting doctors, scientists and members of the public who questioned the ever-evolving and often inconsistent Covid mandates and recommendations.

Butler resigned from the CDC in late May of 2025, just three months after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. became U.S. Health Secretary and overseer of the CDC.

In a June 4 interview with the Anchorage Daily News, Butler expressed concern about the direction of the CDC under RFK. In particular he was critical of the updated vaccination guidelines.

“I don’t understand some of what is being called science or being called ethics,” he said at the time.

In late May, Kennedy rescinded Covid jab recommendations for healthy pregnant women and children and criticized the Biden administration for its continued insistence on recommending ongoing “booster” shots for healthy children, despite a lack of supportive clinical data.

Kennedy’s vaccine update announcement followed a Senate testimony from respected OB-GYN Dr. James Thorp who said that “[r]aw data revealed an 82% miscarriage rate in women vaccinated during the first trimester,” a figure that “mirrors the effects of chemical abortion drugs such as RU486.”

Despite these findings, Butler told the ADN that he was “puzzled” by Kennedy’s decision.

“There’s quite a bit of data that supports the safety of COVID vaccines during pregnancy. So that’s one where I think many of us are scratching our heads,” he said.

We know the pardons for Biden’s crime issues are out the door! Hope Fauci will be indicted by a grand jury when the committee is finished investigation of the autopen. Maybe this guy will shed some light on what excites him about the covid issue.

Get another booster Paul. These people were complicit in the killing of their fellow citizens by their BS “science” directives and mandates. They deserve to pay for those crimes.

“I don’t understand some of what is being called science or being called ethics”. That’s pretty obvious that Butler wouldn’t understand either of those topics. Covid was a dream of Dr. Fauci’s. Anyone that supported him, or backed his evil attempt at covering up his poor judgement is just as guilty as he. To this day I can only speculate, but I believe neither Butler, or Fauci has any remorse about their actions.

IS THERE ANY DOUBT THAT UAA & UAF HAVE THERE HEADS UP THEIR HIGHLY EDUCATED ASSES?

  • Keith Dobson says:

During the COVID-19 pandemic, federal public-health officials imposed sweeping vaccination mandates on populations facing minimal risk—including healthy young adults—while systematically refusing to account for individual medical histories, documented post-infection immunity, sincerely held religious convictions, or legitimate reproductive health concerns. This was not nuanced public health policy; it was categorical overreach that treated bodily autonomy as negotiable.
Even more troubling, officials actively suppressed or minimized credible safety signals. Reports of myocarditis in adolescent males, neurological complications, and other serious adverse events documented by researchers worldwide were not met with transparent investigation but with deflection and dismissal. The message was unmistakable: maintaining institutional narrative mattered more than scientific integrity or the sacred principle of informed consent.
The policy framework itself betrayed a profound disregard for accountability. Vaccine manufacturers were shielded with sweeping legal immunity. Naturally acquired immunity—despite compelling evidence of durability and breadth—was largely rejected as policy-relevant. And dissenting voices, including credentialed physicians and researchers raising legitimate questions, were not debated but marginalized. Scientific discourse was replaced with ideological conformity.
The American people deserved better: honest acknowledgment of uncertainty, rigorous risk-benefit analysis tailored to individual circumstances, and leadership willing to withstand scrutiny rather than silence it. They received the opposite.
Those who championed this approach—who prioritized compliance over consent, uniformity over evidence, and narrative control over scientific debate—have disqualified themselves from leading institutions dedicated to health education. Academic medicine demands intellectual humility, commitment to transparency, respect for ethical boundaries, and unwavering defense of bodily autonomy. These are not abstract ideals. They are foundational. And they were abandoned when they mattered most.

RFK Jr has done a good job of getting then liars fired and investigated. Glad Fouci admitted it wasn’t a vaccine but just a shot.

    Fauci is a stable genius.

Of course Dr Sycophant doesn’t understand science or ethics. He practices neither. We got rid of butt-kissing Zink now we have to suffer this clown? They should all be in prison for crimes against humanity.

The teaching of evolution as fact rather than theory has created an environment in the medical and other professions that humans come from apes. These evolutionists do not accept that humans are valuable and made in the image of God. Therefore there is no value or harm in making us into lab rats for their “research” which continues without remorse or a conscience concerning hurting our children, pregnant mothers and any of us. Fauci is a type of Engel who experimented with cruelty on Beagles (read RFKennedy ‘s book) and what else? Our understanding is that Fauci is wanted in at least 3 countries for the global mass murder through the COVID 19 pandemic. Any “medical” people like this Butler appointment are complicit in crime. Justice needs to be done. Fauci cannot pardon himself with the autopen to hide the consequences of his actions. Please continue to pray for our state.
