The newly launched Turning Point USA chapter at Mat-Su College was targeted this week by a masked man posting anti-Charlie Kirk posters that praised his death and included threats of violence against Turning Point.
According to TPUSA College Field Representative Rachel Anderson, Mat-Su students immediately reported the posters to school officials on Dec. 2, and two campus security officers remained in the room during Turning Point’s weekly meeting to ensure students were safe.

Anderson reported on social media that one of the posters displayed the U.S. flag behind an image of Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, depicting the moment he was fatally shot on Sept. 10 during a campus event in Utah. Above the depiction of Kirk’s murder, the poster included the words, “Hey Fascist, Catch!” This phrase was engraved on a bullet casing found in a rifle that is believed to have been used by Kirk’s suspected murderer, Tyler Robinson.
At the bottom of the poster, Kirk’s name was spelled with three K’s next to the phrase “go f*** yourself.” It also included a flyer used by the Mat-Su Turning Point club to announce its inaugural meeting on Oct. 21.
According to Anderson, who is the TPUSA College Field Representative for Western Washington and Alaska, the university responded to the threat quickly and identified a potential suspect.
“We want to thank the university for taking this seriously and responding quickly,” Anderson stated on X. “They have already identified a potential suspect and have been very supportive throughout the entire process.”
She noted that the Mat-Su chapter remains committed to creating a positive and respectful environment on campus.
“We’re grateful for the partnership of the university and proud of our students for handling this situation responsibly and professionally,” Anderson added.

The Mat-Su Turning Point chapter is one of many new TPUSA groups that have launched across Alaska colleges and high schools in the wake of Kirk’s murder.
While the Mat-Su College chapter initially had difficulty finding a faculty member to sponsor their group, the has successfully held weekly meetings since October, featuring special speakers who tackle issues such as abortion, Communism and the rise of paganism in America.
The evening the posters were discovered, the group was gathering for a community service and game night.
Turning Point USA is a nationwide organization that advocates for conservative politics, traditional values and Christian faith on high school, college, and university campuses. It was founded in 2012 by the late Charlie Kirk.
