Today, April 7, is the final opportunity for voters to decide the fate of Anchorage Assembly and school board races, along with a slew of bond debt propositions.

Ballots can be returned to secure drop boxes around town, to an Anchorage Vote Center or via the U.S. Postal Service, with first-class postage.

Given that today is the final day to return ballots, voters who use the mail should take their ballot directly to the mail clerk and apply a manual postmark to ensure their vote will count.

Those who use a drop box can choose from 18 locations throughout the city, which will be open until 8 p.m. If voters are in line at a drop box location by 8 p.m. tonight, they will be allowed to drop off their ballots. For more information, call the voter hotline at (907) 243-8683 or search the online map of Secure Drop Box locations.

Voters who prefer to cast ballots in person can do so at one of three Anchorage Vote Centers. This is an option for those who have lost or damaged their ballots, didn’t receive a ballot or simply prefer to vote in person. Voters must have proper identification to vote, and those in line by 8 p.m. tonight will be allowed to vote or drop off their ballots.

The following Vote Centers will be open until 8 p.m. tonight:

City Hall: 632 West 6th Avenue, Room #105

— Loussac Library: 3600 Denali St., 1st Floor, Assembly Chambers

Eagle River Town Center: 12001 Business Boulevard, Community Room #170 (same building as the library) Only Chugiak-Eagle River ballots will be available at this location.
