Mat-Su residents are invited to gather at St. Michael Church in Palmer on Jan. 24 to pray a Living Rosary for the protection of unborn life.

The annual event begins at 7 p.m. and last about 45 minutes. It is one of many being held around the nation as the country marks the 47th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion across the U.S. Since then, 65 million unborn babies have been killed through abortion.

The prayer requires about 60 people. Each participant joins in prayer, while also serving as one of the beads of the rosary. All are invited to the prayer.
