Back the badge police

An independent group of Fairbanks residents is planning a rally to support law enforcement and emergency responders in Alaska. The “Back The Blue Alaska Rally” will take place on Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairbanks Police Department.

In preparation for the event, participants will hold a sign making meeting from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 5 at Alaska K9 Center (1995 Badger Rd. North Pole).

According to the group’s Facebook page, Back The Blue Alaska aims to support “the great men and women protecting and serving our state. We are not associated with any law enforcement agencies.”
