As children are alarmingly and increasingly claiming gender identities other than their actual sex, it is our job as their community of parents, families, friends, and more to lovingly offer them help, not harm.

Right now, many pediatricians are prescribing off-label and dangerous puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to hurting children. These drugs have drastic and sometimes irreversible effects on children’s bodies, including bone development and fertility. No 12-year-old can fathom the significance of a decision that would prevent them from having their own children a decade later.

Instead, we need to stand up for our children and offer them the help they need to feel comfortable in their own bodies. Our partners at the Family Policy Alliance have launched the Help Not Harm campaign to shed light on this issue. For resources and more details, click here.

This movement is especially important in light of Planned Parenthood continuing to expand its services to include offering cross-sex hormones. Once again, it is time to stand up and shout truth from the mountaintops. Our children deserve nothing less.
