Anchorage officials will test the city’s ballot tabulation machines on Thursday, March 3. The public is invited to attend and witness the testing.

The Logic and Accuracy Testing will be conducted beginning at 1 p.m. in the city’s Election Center (619 E. Ship Creek Avenue, Door D).

According to the city clerk’s office Logic and Accuracy Testing is performed to “certify the accuracy of tabulation equipment as one measure to ensure election integrity.”

Election Commission members, Glennis Ireland, Loren Leman, Mead Treadwell, Elaine Nelson and Lisa Torkelson have been invited to assist the elections team in this test.

Anchorage will hold an election on April 5 in which residents will vote for candidates running for Assembly and school board seats.

the test is meaningless if the machines r hooked to the www.

  • Neil DeWitt says:

How long and how many different locations are they using for the test? Is there a magical number let’s say 1000 that after that point it triggers the false counting? If we font have people testing ALL the machines one or two at one location is not a good test. Let’s look at the big picture not just one small corner!

  • Terry Tiree says:

“it triggers the false counting”. What do you mean?

One vote in person with ID yes with ID

  • Sharon says:

I’m against using the machines. Honest elections to give Alaskans want assurance that our votes count. They can test them but that doesn’t mean on Election Day someone online isn’t involved. An example: why would Alaska vote for Trump then vote for Rank Choice? I didn’t vote for it!! Everyone is confused by it.

  • 1 Vote 1 ID PERIOD! says:

So there testing to see how accurately the new, Ranked Choice, voting system will completely rig all elections going forward…okay, got it!

  • Herman Nelson says:

Better idea- ditch them and hand count votes. Citizens of Anchorage- It might a good idea to watch the clock and watch the counting building 24/7 to ensure everybody leaves, instead of saying they’re closing and going back and counting after all the observers had left.

    • Kenneth L. Wells says:

The beauty of electronic ballot counters is that the villains’ need not be in the building to do their villainy. The beauty of rank order voting is that villains’ can steal the votes from other candidates and give the votes to themselves.

      • Herman Nelson says:

You know it. Data can be manipulated very easily as shown with the Maricopa County election. Those that control the electronic ballot counters can control the outcome of an election.

  • Kenneth L. Wells says:

Electronic ballot machines are illegal in civilized countries for very, very good reason.
Few people have the skill, never mind the time, to sift through programming looking for the myriad ways electronic ballot machines can be jiggered. Of those few people, most have been through the leftist indoctrination centers known as universities and as we have seen beyond all doubt, such people are willing to do anything to further their goals.

Between electronic voting machines and rank order voting, there will be no fair elections in Alaska from this point forward.
