Amidst mass confusion surrounding gender identity and human sexuality, an Anchorage-based apologetics group is holding the second in a three-part series titled, “Candid Conversations on Gender and Sexuality.”
Hosted by Wisdom Apologetics, the July 13 gathering meets at 7 p.m. to examine the topic of homosexuality.
Coming from a Christian worldview, the presentation will tackle issues that have come to divide many in our country, while putting the traditional Christian belief at odds with the culture.
The aim is to explore foundational truths in a world which often denies the reality that human beings are created male and female. Attendees will explore how the culture has rapidly changed and what they can do to effectively navigate discussions with friends and family.
The July 13 event will be held at a Spenard venue located at 3300 Spenard Road, and is specifically directed at high school students and college-age adults, but is free and open to everyone. It includes a 40-minute video presentation followed by a live Q&A with apologists Chris Gonzalez (Reasonable Faith), Matthew Cote (Ratio Christi), and Prince Nwankudu (Wisdom Apologetics). Door prizes and light refreshments will be provided. Those who can’t join in-person, can follow the discussion via Zoom.
Wisdom Apologetics has been active in Anchorage for many years, providing events and discussion forums at colleges, churches and other venues with the aim of helping youth and young adults understand the rationality behind the claims of Christianity.
