The woman behind the ongoing LGBTQ drag queen performances targeting Anchorage children is the featured speaker for an upcoming Alaska Humanities Forum presentation. Titled, “Kids Need to be Around More Drag Queens (and other ways to make the world a better, safer place,” the talk is scheduled for April 5, at Williwaw Social. It runs from 6-8 p.m.

Kendra Arciniega is the owner of Arciniega Street Productions. Together with her lesbian “wife,” she produces erotic drag queen performances in various venues around Anchorage. Many of her shows are geared to adults, but she also has regular offerings for young children and toddlers, which feature men dancing and mingling with children while wearing erotic lingerie, exposed thong underwear and sexy evening gowns.

According to the Alaska Humanities Forum flyer promoting Arciniega’s upcoming talk, her goal is to produce “community-building entertainment that focuses on Latine, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ artists and their respective community intersections.”

The flyer notes that much of Arciniega’s business is specifically aimed at “queer youth, families, and allies … to promote more unity and safe spaces in Anchorage, and yes, this includes family-friendly drag shows.”

Admission to Arciniega’s April 5 talk on the virtue of drag queen/child relationships is $5.

Traditionally, the Alaska Humanities Forum focused on classic cultural, literary, historical and musical projects. In recent years, however, the nonprofit has shifted its focus to promote the most radical and controversial elements found in the LGBTQ and Critical Race Theory movements.

According to the organization’s website, it now aims to create spaces “where people can share controversial ideas, be vulnerable and real, and examine their assumptions and biases in order to gain a new or deeper understanding.”

Ultimately, Alaska Humanities Forum wants to change historical norms and perceptions in order  to see “long-term, lasting social change.” Apparently, this entails more interaction between professional drag-queen performers and very young children.

Is there a standard for nonprofits? Are they funded by the state or feds? Who decides what nonprofit is approved or not approved?

  • Tamra Nygaard says:

“…focuses on Latine, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ artists…” What, no Asians? No mixed race folks? No Europeans? Sounds pretty racist to me. /snark I think she needs to be asked why she thinks it is important for grown men to shake their private parts in the faces of children. Is this supposed to be educational in some manner? Because honestly, most drag shows are the least entertaining things I could imagine. Sounds more like an enabler of abuse than any “organizer” to me.

KAMERON PEREZ-VERDIA who is on our Assembly is their CEO. Quinn-Davidson, also on the Assembly was at the latest show. Had enough? VOTE your values in April.

  • Richard Eide says:

If we’re sharing controversial ideas, how about this; “… that whoever believes in Him shall not parish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

  • Friend of Humanity says:

This is just so amazing that this stuff can happen around the nation – we can see the fight going on. Then, it comes to Alaska and people sit on their hands and let this evil weave itself tightly into the fabric of our last frontier society. This is just horrifying!

  • Neil DeWitt says:

This sounds like more child abuse thst Anchorage judges lock people up for. What is the difference? Men that are so ugly they can’t get a woman so turn to LGBTQ+ People to have sex? Worst part liberals in Anchorage think it’s ok. I say they all need to be judged as abusers. There is nothing normal about these people! Doesn’t Anchorage have a hospital for them on Debar Road? Maybe a short stay their they would see the light of their abuse.

I would ask:, Where is Dunleavy while all of this is going on ? The state of Florida has been, and is dealing with this forcefully.. Other states are stepping up, but it seems that Dunleavy has Dun-left.

    • DaveMaxwell says:

I’m biting my lip and resisting writing what I want to! The level of disgust I have with leadership today is enough to get someone locked up! There are appropriate words, and they aren’t disappointed, discouraged. How about impeachment, and remove!

  • Dalton Stokes says:

this is all happening because Republicans are weak scared cowards

  • DaveMaxwell says:

    Impeachment Mike Dunleavy

  • Michael Ewing says:

    keep pushing back

  • ANC907 says:

Ever wonder what the + symbol in LGBTQ+ represents? Pedophile… And we as a city are now celebrating this? How did this happen to our city???

    • Joe baker says:

This is such a disgusting comment. This article is also very misleading and gives these events a much worse reputation than deserved. Their target audience is for everyone, not aimed towards children only.

      • Friend of Humanity says:

Joe, everyone is entitled to their opinion. The article is not misleading and those events should get so much attention that they are shut down. These events do not support biblical commandments and there are enough stories and examples in the bible to show that our Heavenly Father does not approve of the type of behavior that these shows encourage. Adults have the choice to go fill their minds with filth; the children do not. Children should not be allowed to attend these until they are mature adults and can decide for themselves if they want to follow Satan’s ways or follow our Almighty Heavenly Father’s ways. Thank you for the good information ANC907!

      • Lobo says:

How do the children get there ? Adults (perverts) have to bring them there, or the Drag Queens would have no targets.. The main “target” is to somehow, justify their pervert identities, and activities..

      • Aunt Sally says:

Actually, Joe, what’s really disgusting is trying to normalize warped, degenerate behavior and trying to pathologize quite normal disgust for warped degenerates.

You and your kind shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near children, Joe. Simple as.
