Reliable, easy-to-use information is invaluable to the tens of thousands of Alaskans who will be heading to the polls to vote in-person on election day.
In addition to the Values Voter Guide that was recently highlighted by the Alaska Watchman, there is another source to help Alaskans who are interested in electing state and federal candidates who are more likely to advance biblical family values in society.
The iVoterGuide.com website ranks nearly every candidate who will appear on the Alaska ballot based off their endorsements, contributions, donations and voting records. While the guide is not comprehensive, and contains much more information on some candidates, it does provide valuable data for voters as they head into polls on Nov. 5.
Due to chronic difficulty of obtaining information about the judicial philosophies of Alaska judges, the guide provides no information about Alaska judges who are up for retention elections. The Watchman has partially filled this hole with a judge voting guide published last week.
According to the iVoterGuide website, the national organization offers voting guides in all 50 states with the aim of “preserving the Judeo-Christian values of our founding fathers.”
For each candidate, the guide provides a ranking, delineating candidates on a sliding scale that includes “verified liberal” on one end of the spectrum and “verified conservative” on the other. Rankings also include “leans liberal,” “leans conservative,” “moderate,” and “insufficient information.”

“We seek to provide accurate information, to treat people fairly and with respect, and to do everything to the best of our ability for the glory of God,” iVoterGuide notes.
The guide is published in partnership with American Family Association (AFA), a national non-profit with the mission to “inform and mobilize individuals to strengthen the biblical foundations of America” by providing information that equips “Christians to vote wisely and be good stewards of their citizenship.”

Question number two on the Values Voter Guide is, “Do you support an amendment to the Alaska state constitution that would protect the right of a parent to provide consent and/or receive notice before an abortion is performed on the parent’s minor child?”
Our daughters don’t have a right to kill an unborn child.
Parents don’t have a right to consent to kill their unborn grandchildren.
Since abortion is evil – and it is – then so is consenting to abortion.
Advocating for a constitution that protects those rights is evil and abhorrent.
Should we do evil that good may come? Your condemnation is just. Romans 3:8
