In a surprisingly bi-partisan vote, Alaska Rep. Mary Peltola joined 80 other Democrats and 200 Republicans in the U.S. House to pass a massive defense bill that specifically prohibits taxpayer dollars from funding cross-sex drugs and transgender surgeries for minor children of U.S. service members.
Approved by the House on Dec. 11 on a vote of 281 to 140, the nearly 2,000-page National Defense Authorization defunds cross-sex procedures for minors.
The strong support provided by Democrats, comes just a little over a month after the general election in which Republicans won the White House and both chambers of Congress.

For years now, many Democrats like Peltola have championed cross-sex treatments for minors, but times may be changing. Peltola lost her House seat to Republican Nick Begich, who opposes cross-sex treatments, which are coming under increasing scrutiny around the world.
Likewise, more nations are implementing bans on allowing biological males to compete in girls’ sports and use their bathrooms and changing rooms.
Organizations like LifeSiteNews have extensively documented how cross-sex drugs and surgeries have been linked to suicidality, bone density loss, heart diseases, stroke, cancer, and numerous other medical problems. Similarly, puberty blockers can also cause infertility, as they interrupt the normal development of reproductive organs.

setting her votes for a run at Lisa’s seat in two years…. slither slither slithering along
I’d rather have Mary’s slither tgan Lisa’s total defiance!
To bad Mary has finally seen the light and is voting the way Alaska thinks. If she would have been neutral and voted bipartisan she might have retained her seat.
The MDAA has really put Democrats between a rock and a hard place, which is just what Mike Johnson wanted.
