An enthusiastic Sen. Dan Sullivan gave his Alaska constituency an up-close view of the swearing-in ceremony of President Donald Trump on Jan. 20.

Using his phone, Sullivan recorded Trump taking his oath of office from close quarters in the beautiful U.S. Capitol Rotunda.

Due to frigid weather and high winds, Trump decided to move the ceremony to the Rotunda, which was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also due to severe weather.

Alaska’s newly elected Congressman Rep. Nick Begich praised Trump’s new term.

“Today marks a historic moment for our country as we witnessed the swearing-in of our 47th President, Donald J. Trump,” he stated. “I am proud to stand with this administration and look forward to working alongside them to drive bold new policies that protect our national interests and create opportunities for hardworking Americans. The clear mandate given to the President by the American people underscores the responsibility we share in moving our nation forward. Our work to support this vision has already begun: my team and I have been working with President Trump’s team over the previous months to prepare and execute a plan that will open the state of Alaska once again. Our state has a friend and ally in President Trump, and the work that lies ahead will bear fruit not only for the betterment of every American but especially for Alaskans, who are ready to embrace renewed prosperity across our wonderful state. Today marks a new chapter in America’s story, one of optimism, opportunity, and success for all.”

Alaska’s other U.S. Senator, Lisa Murkowski, has often been at odds with both the Republican Party and Trump. She voted to impeach the president in 2021, blaming Trump for inciting the Jan. 6 protesters and failing to uphold his office. She posted a more muted comment on Trump’s most recent inauguration, focusing more on the ceremony than the man.

“Inauguration Day is always incredibly special and serves as an excellent reminder of what makes our nation so remarkable,” she said. “I pray for the safety and success of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump.”

Trump is expected to immediately begin rolling back Biden-era policies that have greatly stifled Alaska’s ability to explore for and extract natural resources such as oil, gas and timber.

Alaskans overwhelmingly supported Trump, with 54.5% voting for him, compaired to just 41.4% voting for Kamala Harris.

Ok so now that The Donald is back where he belongs, maybe Dan can finally grow a full set. We remember your fawning acquiescence to the Biden cartel Dan. And no one likes a sycophant. Well, no one but a politician.
