A few weeks ago, Fairbanks Daily News Miner Editor Gary Black wrote an opinion piece praising U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and lauding a group of state Republican legislators for following in her footsteps. In particular, Black appreciated that these lawmakers have been willing to abandon core GOP ideals in the name of bi-partisanship.
Black blasted state Republicans for being critical of these RINOs, claiming they were just “throwing tantrums.”
What he doesn’t understand is that true Republicans and MAGA Patriots are working hard to return our state and country to what worked – using the Rule of Law (U.S. and Alaska Constitution), and Bill of Rights to govern justly.
Rather than smearing faithful Republicans, Mr. Black should consider doing investigative reporting, and actually understand the problems that Murkowski’s decisions and policies have caused in the U.S. Senate. Murkowski’s “swamp team” saddled Alaska with ranked-choice voting, did away with the traditional party primary and created a political mess. She also voted with Obama and Biden 70% of the time, locking up Alaska’s resources.

Black might also consider that the “bipartisan” Juneau Republicans are actually liars who “used” Trump’s popularity to get elected by claiming to be Republicans. They fooled voters, and then switched to empowering Democrats, thereby relegated conservative Republicans to minority status in the State Legislature.
Alaskan voters, however, sent a majority of “Republicans” to both chambers because we were ready to MAKE ALASKA GREAT AGAIN. Now, these deceitful individuals are blocking sensible legislation, while threatening to spend our PFD money for their own purposes.
This mentality of growing government entitlements on the backs of working Alaskans will create even greater state debt.
The goals of conservative Republicans are rooted in faith, family and freedom. We know that preborn babies are a gift from God. We know there are two genders, male and female, and we know that churches are essential for the health of a society.
The Democrat platform promotes the idea that killing babies in the womb is somehow a fundamental human right, and the party views the church as nonessential.
Concerned Alaska conservatives should take note that the untrustworthy RINO legislators in the Alaska Legislature are the following individuals: Gary Stevens (Kodiak), Bert Stedman (Sitka), Cathy Giessel (Anchorage), Kelly Merrick (Eagle River), Jesse Bjorkman (Nikiski), Chuck Kopp (Anchorage), and Louise Stutes (Kodiak). Follow their voting through this legislative session to watch as your Permanent Fund disappears.
Editor Black may praise these legislators and their Democrat allies for being a “partnership,” but their alliance is really the manifestation of an Alaska “uni-party,” which makes deals that abandon the values of conservative Alaskans.

Jesse Bjorkman visited my house when he was running for his seat and completely misled me on his intentions to make the Republican party stronger. He is a reason voters like me just don’t trust these slimy politicians.

Dunleavy has been battling this legislature for 6 years as governor. They don’t care who is governor, the legislature “majority” insists on having their way. The governor has quietly continued the fight, and continued to red line the excesses in the appropriations. Adults do work together occasionally, but more often the democratically controlled legislature goes their own way. This is the result of no term limits. When will they ever learn?
Each and every one of these legislators has been re-elected by their constituents. And some of them notoriously played this game before. The voters in each of their districts LIKE this. They REWARD this. Those “conservatives” who are being “abandoned” really were not part of their calculus at all. We are not a red state any more.

Participating in the Alaska Republican Party state convention, developing party platforms after much deliberation, then having Rinos give us a slap to the face by ignoring the party’s platform is bad enough. But Party leadership ignoring these offenses is maddening. Making excuses “because we’re friends” simply means you need better friends. Come on folks, time to censure and cut funding.

Most of the working people I know voted for Trump and straight Republican tickets, because the Democrats at all levels are corrupt and Crazy. Republicans have their corruption problems too.
