Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in Alaska and eight other states are reeling after President Trump froze millions in federal funds to the abortion giant’s local affiliates.
According to information gained by Politico, the Trump Administration froze $27.5 million because certain Planned Parenthood clinics were pushing DEI ideology and potentially violating civil rights laws.
On March 31, notices were sent to nine Planned Parenthood state affiliates, including the one that oversees Alaska abortion clinics, notifying them that Title X family planning grants were temporarily suspended.
Funds were blocked for Anchorage and Fairbanks Planned Parenthood abortion clinics – the last two the company still operates in Alaska. Planned Parenthood of Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky posted a reaction to Facebook, saying the organization was “still evaluating what this change means for our patients,” and noting that government subsidized services won’t look the same without federal taxpayer funds to underwrite them.
ALASKA WATCHMAN DIRECT TO YOUR INBOX
According to Politico, the letter to clinics explains that federal funding is temporarily halted for certain clinics due to “possible violations” of federal civil rights laws and Trump’s executive orders, which prohibit the promotion of “diversity, equity, and inclusion” and “taxpayer subsidization of open borders.”
Planned Parenthood’s mission statement and other documents are cited as evidence of potential violations.
Planned Parenthood’s state affiliates have 10 days to respond to the letter, Politico reported. After that, the status of the grants will be reviewed. If Planned Parenthood is found to be in violation, federal grants could be permanently pulled and given to other groups.

Yahoo! The “Killing Fields” are stopped and stumped for now. So, lets make it permanent in Alaska with every hospital and their certifications. No to abortions, selling body parts or harvesting them from patients in any hospital or clinic in Alaska!
Well, violating the civil rights of BORN children is a good step. Just keep moving the needle back to … conception. Remember, statutory law recognizes the unborn’s property rights when it comes to an inheritance. Also, if it is “wanted”, and is injured or killed through an assault against the mother. Where is “wantedness” found in constitutional or statutory law in Alaska? This dichotomy of law is as brazen as pretending a man can become a woman and a woman can become a man. We are heading in the right direction. But we should not rely upon an ELECTION to get us to think straight. Dear pastors: How about depending upon … the pulpit?
I thought “progressives” didn’t want government in the examination room with patients. That’s what they keep yelling every time they pound the table to kill more babies in the womb. I kinda thought that extended to the government paying for the whole episode. And honestly, what possible reason does the government have for paying for birth control? The result of sex is procreation. If you don’t want to procreate, quit having sex. No government funds needed.
Don’t you know? Consequence-free sex on tap is a human right according to the Hedonic Creed. And YOU are supposed to pay for it.
Thank goodness!
Expectations from the pulpit today that go deeper than VBS Children’s stories? DESPERATELY NEEDED BUT I DO NOT THINK THE ABILITY OR COURAGE EXISTS ANYMORE!
