A gender-bending professor at the state-funded University of Alaska Southeast recently headlined an official, campus-sponsored talk to promote the notion that sexuality is fluid, and gender is primarily a social construction.
Dr. Rally Wolford, a biological male who prefers the pronouns “They/Them/Their,” gave the April 24 talk to students and others at the Ketchikan based campus. It was part of the school’s ongoing “Ask UAS” lecture series, which has included past talks on climate alarmism, gender theory and other popular leftist themes.
His recent talk aimed to introduce students to LGBTQ ideas surrounding open relationships, various sexual arrangements and preferences, and the general deconstruction of any normative understanding of human sexuality.
At one point, an attendee asked him what to do about Bible-believing people who claim there are only two sexes. Rally said some people come to that conclusion through being “misinformed.” He added that some people “cling so tightly to their reality” that it is not even worth talking to them.
Wolford is an assistant social science professor whose research interests include “Environmental Justice & Allyship,” “Economic Stratification Conflict,” “Postmodern Sociology of Gender,” and “Gender Stratification, Gender Non-Conformity, Queer Theory, Queer Studies.”
Rally moved to Ketchikan in 2025 to teach his controversial sociology theories to Alaska-based students.
According to his university biography, Rally earned a PH.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 2021, and is a “certified meditation instructor” who “earned their master gardener certification while in Tennessee and became the volunteer groundskeeper for the community garden.”
Rally currently serves on the chancellor’s advisory committee on “Belonging, Empowerment, Access and Safety,” which was formerly known as the committee on “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Cultural Safety.” According to the university website, the committee’s name was “changed in accordance with the UA Board of Regents (BOR) DEI Motion dated February 21, 2025.”
Specifically, the regents directed UA President Pat Pitney to “take all necessary actions to comply with recent federal executive orders and applicable agency guidance.” This includes making changes to ensure university websites and other electronic or print material representing each university no longer refer to “affirmative action,” “DEI” or “diversity, equity and inclusion,” and other associated terms. Additionally, the regents want all staff position titles purged of these references.

The regents’ decision came as the result of a series of executive orders from President Trump, which threaten to pull federal funding from institutions that pursue these divisive political and cultural ideologies, especially as they pertain to racially motivated decisions regarding employment, student enrollment and institutional programing. With roughly 20% of its funding (more than $240 million) derived from federal taxpayer dollars, the University of Alaska system has a lot at stake if it fails to comply.
Many professors and staff at University of Alaska campuses across the state are deeply opposed to Trump’s orders and the regents’ policy directive.
In March, UAA’s so-called “Community and Belonging” leader Aidan Jackson, claimed that while most of the university documents, flyers and website pages have removed DEI language, staff are still free to employ pro-DEI language when speaking with students and others.
She also told the student paper that, apart from semantics, she doesn’t believe anything else will change in her Anchorage office – including school sponsored events, which have focused on white privilege, unconscious racism, LGBTQ agendas and more.

Good grief. Another educated idiot. Blinded by darkness. No, there are only two sexes. Two genders. Proven by science. Simple biology. Every living creature on the planet has male and female. The ‘social constructs’ this very confused, and pridefully arrogant, man insists are reality are, in real reality, fantasy. What a shame our state university system would allow such delusion to be fed to their students. Add also the students are no longer being taught to seek truth and to debate lies. A travesty. This is why I will no longer support the UA system.

Many living creatures on earth have variance of sexes. Some are completely hermaphroditic, and some are able to change sex, such as clownfish. Others have a normal variance of hermaphroditism as well as “male” and “female. Gender is really not a scientifically definable aspect of biology, as it presents with significant variance across species. Male seahorses carry pregnancies. Female chickens and lions naturally present with male secondary sex characteristics some of the time, among many other examples. Biology is far more complicated than you are willing to admit.

Now if you want to address mental illness where males and females think they are something else, or choose to use their tabs or slots in a way they clearly were not designed, that is a different conversation.
I am excited for the next step in human biological evolution. A hermaphroditic human shall produce offspring a-sexually and the offspring will look just like the parent. Then the parent can can claim child support from themselves and create an infinite money cheat.
