Anchorage First Presbyterian Church pastor Rev. Matt Schultz is really worried that his parishioners might actually die if Congressional Republican reduce federal Medicaid funding.

Earlier this month, he joined a Planned Parenthood panel, comprised of radical pro-abortion activists who spent their time decrying Republicans for attempting to reduce federal taxpayer money for abortion providers like Planned Parenthood – the number one killer of unborn babies in Alaska.

Last year, 1,224 abortions occurred in Alaska, with 43% of all abortions being publicly-funded through Alaska’s Medicaid program, known as DenaliCare. That means 528 unborn babies were destroyed with public dollars.

As reported by left-leaning blogger Matt Buxton at The Alaska Memo, Rev. Schultz is so torn up about potential Medicaid cuts that he has found himself begging Alaska D.C. delegation to “not kill their own constituents.”

While Planned Parenthood does offer other things like breast cancer screenings and – increasingly so – cross-sex chemicals, the reality is that these centers are primarily established to kill unborn babies.

“Over and over and over again, begging for the life of my congregation members, my neighbors, my children, to say, please don’t yank away the thing that’s keeping them alive,” Rev. Schultz said, according to The Alaska Memo.

Sitting at a table with five pro-abortion extremists, including Planned Parenthood State Director Rose O’Hara-Jolley and the manager for the Anchorage Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, Rev. Schultz and his counterparts claimed that if Republicans cut Medicaid, it would be inhumane and downright dangerous for the lives of many Alaskans.

On May 22, the GOP-controlled U.S. House narrowly passed a spending and tax reform bill that bars Medicaid reimbursements from going to abortion-providing groups like Planned Parenthood. Backed by Alaska Rep. Nick Begich, the bill needed his vote to pass 215-214. In announcing his vote in support of the bill, Begich focused on the fact that it reduces deficit spending by $1.5 trillion, includes massive tax breaks, increases border security spending and unleashes energy exploration and cleans up Medicaid rolls.

Not once in the The Alaska Memo report are any of the panelists quoted as saying anything about the most vulnerable and voiceless residents of Alaska – unborn children. Instead, they focused on how inconvenient it would be for women to get abortions and access other services if abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood lost their federal funds.

“How many times do we have to return to our congressional delegation and say, Please give a shit?” Rev. Schultz said, according to The Alaska Memo.

While Planned Parenthood does offer other things like breast cancer screenings and – increasingly so – cross-sex chemicals, the reality is that these centers are primarily established to kill unborn babies. These extra services act as bonus offerings, which help their bottom line through taxpayer-funded reimbursements. These extra dollars allow the abortion clinics to stay open, and ultimately kill more pre-born children.

If Republicans are successful in cutting Planned Parenthood out of Medicaid, Alaska’s last two Planned Parenthood-run abortion mills may be forced to shut down for good, especially since roughly a third of their funding comes via Medicaid patients.

According to The Alaska Memo, the recent lineup of panelists questioned the humanity of politicians who would dare cut funding for abortion groups like Planned Parenthood.

“It’s not necessarily just a loss of a revenue stream for us, it is a loss of access to life-saving care for patients and Alaskans … There is nowhere else for people to go, and if we do not have enough patient base to stay open, then that is a cascading issue to those even with wealth and privilege,” the panelists claimed, according to The Alaska Memo. “If we are the only providers of those services, then you will need to leave the state to get some of those services … And denying care to anyone is not something that should be up for debate.”

The article ended by noting that abortion activists are actively pressing U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan to restore Medicaid funding for abortion providers.

While the pro-abortion crowd activates their base, I’m confused at the silence in Anchorage conservative circles. It’s a numbers game that needs to be covered in prayer. If you care about unborn babies’ lives, call our senators’ comment lines and urge them to pass the bill and uphold cuts to Planned Parenthood.
Murkowski: 202-224-6665 (yep, 666 is in her phone number)
    Sullivan: 202-224-3004
Please be respectful and to the point. Alaska babies deserve a chance to live. Planned Parenthood brings pain and heartache to people.

What, other than abortion, can women not access anywhere else?

Sounds to me like this man of god is more of a political figure, than a man of GOD. What a smuck. Maybe his flock should pony up what the government cuts, if that’s how they truly feel. Why should we pay for the termination of the unborn, because that is what Planned Parenthood is really all about. If the funds are to be spared, then they should go to some other organization, not Planned Parenthood.

planned parenthood started out as a eugenics program. Papa Gates was on the Board of Directors. Mr. Schultz, I ask you. What would Jesus do? You will find the answer in the Bible if you read it

When Planned Parenthood says they do breast cancer screenings, they just do manual exams, just like any primary provider does. They do not do ultrasounds or mammograms. There is no reason whatsoever to not get that care anywhere else. The “cuts” to Medicaid are due to reducing the rampant fraud that has occurred, and has nothing to do with taking care from people who have no other option. The truth is that most people can get insurance from the “Obamacare” website, and those who cannot are really not trying.

Feminism is a spent force. It retains no credibility. It won’t even defend REAL women from predatory men in athletic competition or restrooms. It was NEVER “pro-women”, or “pro-choice”, but always “pro-abortion”. Evil always accuses its opponents of what it itself is guilty of: mass death. This “Christian” minister is either a knowing troll or an unknowing nitwit.

I would not be attending this church. You need to know what your pastor and church stands for.
Before you attend or give to where you go to worship. Sounds like this pastor is a wolf-satan in sheep’s clothing.

Matt Schultz has been espousing the libtard agenda for years. All in the name of a christ who is not in the Bible.

Can someone publish the actual data showing what other services Planned Parenthood provides in Anchorage or in Alaska? How many lab tests or exams billed to Medicaid? How do those numbers compare to the abortion numbers? How much federal money via grants go to Alaska PP?

John the Baptist lept in the womb of Elizabeth when Mary, pregnant with Jesus, approached. Turns out the God-child was bringing true “life-saving” care. For all humanity. Remarkably, even for a heretic preaching lies to his congregation and to the community. Matthew Schultz, please repent and open your eyes to the light. Before it’s too late.

Be sure of this, people who lead in the name of Jesus Christ are held to a higher standard. Pastors and teachers who work in churches, of which I am one, will be judged more severely if they mislead the faith-walk of others. So much more if you encourage the killing of God’s innocent creations. Pastor Schultz, it’s not too late to repent of your actions.
