As you might know, public schools, including those in Alaska, are sexualizing and indoctrinating kids. It must be exposed and stopped.

To directly counter this disturbing trend, Alaska Family Council is going on the offensive in creating an initiative called Alaska Informed Parents. Based in part on and with permission from our friends at the Massachusetts Family Institute, the campaign will be assertive, comprehensive and outcome-oriented.

Regardless of whether you have kids or grandkids in public school, the vast majority of students attend government-run educational institutions and will for the foreseeable future. The moral compasses they’re being wired with in neighborhood classrooms impact all of society. Turning this around in public schools will change how culture either matures or declines.

Issues of sexuality and marriage, to be certain, have been one of, if not the leading areas of division in the church, in families and in culture for decades. When God speaks of sexuality and marriage – established in the Garden of Eden, defined in our relationship to Jesus as the Bride of Christ and ultimately brought to fruition in the Book of Revelation, this is no peripheral issue.

And our identity, as image bearers, is in Christ. It is not a “social construct” or “heteronormative facade.”

Principalities of darkness are at work. Ephesians 6:12

Alaska Informed Parents is taking steps to bring back sanity to our public schools by equipping and encouraging Alaska parents to recapture their God-given right to raise their children without having to accept the LGBTQIA2+ agenda that has festered in public schools for far too long.

ACTION STEP (1) – Establish a formidable on-line, social media presence through the creation of dedicated website, a Substack community (click HERE to see how Massachusetts is doing it), Facebook group, X group and Instagram presence. Countering the narrative will need an army of activists.

ACTION STEP (2) – Through social media, direct mail and radio ads, we are and will continue to give parents intel on how to OPT OUT their kids during this coming school year from all lessons, book readings, events, school assemblies or other instructional activities and programs that cover sex education or human sexuality issues including sexual orientation and gender identity. See article below we sent out recently and CLICK HERE for our sample opt out letter that parents are already sending to schools as I write this.

For clarity, the recent victory at the U.S. Supreme Court (Mahmoud v. Taylor), originated when Maryland parents, by the droves, opted their kids out of these lessons to the point where school officials stopped giving them the right to opt out because it was too disruptive. The nation’s highest court affirmed the right of parents to opt out. Through this Alaska Informed Parents action step, our intent is to cause disruption knowing that parents have every right to protect their kids from being indoctrinated.

ACTION STEP (3) – Working, under radar as needed, with allied schoolteachers, principals, counselors and others within the public school setting (and there are a lot of them) as well as with parents and students to ensure the rights of parents are being respected. Alaska Informed Parents will proactively identify material being taught that is not in line with State law requiring two (2) weeks advance notice to parents before any of this kind of material is presented and that local school boards have approved the material.  CLICK HERE for a memo from Alaska Attorney General Treg Taylor on these and other guidelines that are clearly laid out.

Unfortunately, many public school officials disregard State law and the Mahmoud v. Taylor case and presenting LGBTQIA2+ materials anyway they can – without parental consent or knowledge. Our intent will be to ensure they are adhering to the law and to hold them accountable when they are not.

ACTION STEP (4) – Here’s where the rubber hits the road. The previous Action Steps will take resources to implement. Part of that is prayer. Part of that is time people give toward the Initiative. And part of that is funding. We will actively raise funds to ensure this effort will thrive and accomplish our goal of turning the tide by shining a bright light that will bring Truth into a dark environment that needs to be exposed.

Please consider giving generously now to help us move forward. CLICK HERE to financially partner with us on this assertive new effort. And stay tuned.

A DEEPER DIVE
— If you want to take a deeper dive into this whole issue of “Queering” our children, including the roots of it, the rationale, the darker underbelly…click HERE for a good site called Identity Project from the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. I’ll be interviewing John Stonestreet, their President, this week on “I’m Glad You Said That“.

— And click HERE for a video from Logan Lancing, author of the book “The Queering of the American Child.”  This is heavy stuff and very dark but as Paul tells us in his letter to the Ephesians, “…we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

This is one of the best written and appealing for the sake of our Judeo-Christian values and what school should pay attention too and have meaning for in every home. This article should be put to our legislative persons when dealing funding for education. The failures of this state administration and previous ones is the unwilling attitude to recognize and truthfully work with the importance of anti=queering in teachings and permissions in our public schools. Thank you to the Watchman and Alaska Informed Parents to stand up and be a strength for their families against this evil and wrong teaching in our schools.

One of the biggest problems is how individual teachers and school nurses cheerfully ignore policy. Principals cannot monitor every teacher and every classroom. Nurses enjoy a privacy privilege. Almost any academic discipline can be wielded as an excuse for “woke” policy. Administrators may not know of it, but if they do, they want to pretend that they don’t know. An example was recently seen when Planned Parenthood was invited into a classroom, without administrative consent. Or, functioning under the pretense of ignorance. This allows for “plausible deniability” when complaints come in. Then, as we know, complaints in front of school boards might warrant a visit from the FBI. If Trump won’t allow what Biden did, figure that another administration will. There is only one way around this: homeschool your kids, at least in these matters. Plus, we all ought to do what Mormons have already been doing: hold Mon-Fri “morning seminary”. Unless we ACT like religious morals and dogma are important, and deserve to be treated as important as biology, history or math with a DAILY instruction, we won’t be able to gain much traction.

In other articles in the Watchman, anti gay commenters will make claims like, “I don’t care what you do behind doors, just don’t shove it my face.” Yet here’s a dark money Outside group and some local busybodies shoving their bigotry, anti science views and intolerance in our faces.

Mr. Bird, made several good points. What it needs to come down to is non-compliance, and how can it be be enforced. There needs to be a uniform use of a document at hire, and by established educators, including the medical staff, that clearly states it is mandatory to report ANY discussion or any presentation on this subject matter. Regardless of who reports it, the student, the parent from the student, or anyone that overheard this subject matter in the presence of the child. That failure to report would result in the immediate dismissal of person who discussed the subject matter, or failed to report what they heard or saw. Failure to sign the document would result in no consideration for employment, or termination from their present position with the education system. The standard of proof would be by the preponderance of the evidence to be determined by the school Superintendent. Providing a sever consequence for non compliance with establish guidelines. We have got to get serious about this issue, and therefore incorporate within our State guidlines. As far as Mr. Maxwell……all I can do is shake my head, and say focus on the problem.

No things are quite as unscientific as gender unicorns, gender fluidity, homosexual acts, or the notion that one can change one’s gender through dress or various surgeries. How is it that informing parents how to opt out of auch nonsensical “classes” rises to the level of bigotry and intolerance?

Education does not make “Queer” kids. They are born that way!
