Gov. Dunleavy, ever since you suffered the Left’s idiotic recall attempt, you turned from a roaring tiger into a beached whale. It didn’t take long. You wanted a full PFD, a balanced budget, and resource extraction. We saw you courageously middle finger the judiciary by docking them the exact amount of money from their administrative budget that they unconstitutionally order for abortion funding.

But then you caved in to their insanely self-serving ACLU v. Dunleavy decision by appointing the very judge who ruled against you to the Alaska Supreme Court. You became a globalist, endorsing the mad scientist policies of then-Chief Medical Officer Anne Zink. You went to Europe, bragging about carbon sequestration in Germany. It was as if you wanted the globalists to see what an obedient minion you can be, perhaps aiming for the US Senate. Every single conservative that I speak to has the same opinion: you have lost your mind, have been compromised, or you have been threatened. Perhaps all three.

The same happened to Gov. Wally Hickel. After two years as governor, in 1968, he was tapped by Nixon to be Interior Secretary, a position he did not want. Read his autobiography. He literally said he had no choice. The Left tried to “Bork” him, but when he turned out to be his own man and criticized the Vietnam War, he was shown the door.

After years of trying to regain the governorship, having elections stolen from him, losing in primaries overloaded with conservative candidates, he finally achieved it in 1990, under the Alaskan Independence Party. But AIP founder Joe Vogler was mysteriously murdered, which perhaps was a warning also directed towards Hickel. He was a very smart man and knew the length and breadth of the Military Industrial Complex. And after three years as governor, he mysteriously alienated his Lt. Governor, returned to the GOP – and after all those frustrating years wanting to be governor, decided not to run for a 2nd term!

Very strange, indeed.

The only true legislative remedy is impeachment. But even while that is a long range and difficult outcome, the very attempt would send chills down the spine of the judiciary, and likely cause them to sit up straight.

Gov. Dunleavy, we just read that you want to return to “traditional elections.” What a farce! While we go around collecting signatures, enduring lawfare at the hands of Scott Kendall, watching election night “victories” melt away from mail-in ballots, you have had the power all along to erase RCV from the books.

Many citizens are once again trying to repeal RCV, and while I applaud it, we don’t need to convince 200,000 voters to rid us of this Kendall-Murkowski Dirty Trick. We need to convince only ONE person – you!

Your first Attorney General Kevin Clarkson immediately laughed the initiative into a black hole because it violated the single subject statute for citizen initiatives. Funny how he shortly had mud-slinging force him to resign. And Clarkson was on hand with me, my son Mario and constitutional scholar Dr. Stephen Krason on the speaker phone, to tell you that you need not enforce Alaska Supreme Court opinions. We cited Article 3, section 16, where constitutional violations can be halted by the governor, but also within the sphere of American history and the Federalist Papers.

That was in regard to abortion funding, but it applies to every single court overthrow of Alaska’s Constitution. You had the same reply in both my meetings with you, six months apart: “It’s going to take me a while to wrap my head around this.”

Actually, you feared further antagonizing the hornet’s nest on the Left.

So now Attorney General Treg Taylor says he dislikes the new Grand Jury protocols, and suggests a legislative remedy. The only true legislative remedy is impeachment. But even while that is a long range and difficult outcome, the very attempt would send chills down the spine of the judiciary, and likely cause them to sit up straight.

All political power is inherent in the people. All government originates with the people, is founded upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the people as a whole.

But, we don’t have to even do that. Here is how your press release ought to read. What have you got to lose, governor? Will they start a new recall effort? A lame duck executive can do a lot, and can show what the Left ought to fear, far more than the beginning of a governor’s new term.

Authorized by the power invested in the governor by the people of Alaska, found in Article 3, Section 16, I hold that the following constitutional violations as ordered by the judiciary in (cite the appropriately numbered cases here) are null, void and of no effect: the Grand Jury protocols instituted by SCO 1993 is cancelled; the definition of privacy in Art. 1, Sec. 22 is reserved to the legislature; any and all court-ordered funding, for any purpose whatsoever, is negated; all six items in the citizen initiatives of 2020 and 2024 will not be enforced, as they violated the single-subject rule.

The courts give advice, but the executive is the final filter. I can read the constitution too, and hold that they have stolen the power to amend the constitution from the people, the power of the purse, the power to override vetoes, and the power to define the limits of privacy from the legislature, as well as the line-item veto of the executive.

All state employees are hereby advised that the judiciary has no enforcement powers, and are to ignore their protests, whether delivered to them or heard in the news media, under penalty of immediate suspension or dismissal by this office, as found in Art. 3, Sec. 16.

And I recommend to the State Senate, who possesses the power of impeachment, to consider that the past constitutional violations are sufficient to begin the process of removing any justices who have been complicit in initiating or sustaining these constitutional violations.

Of course, I don’t expect you to do this, Governor Dunleavy. But I do expect that the people of this state are fed up with the shenanigans of all three branches, and I want to use this essay as a warning to all candidates for governor and the legislature of what they can expect, not only from the citizens, but from whatever influence conservative media can generate.

David Haeg said it best: we will not be put off any longer.

Article 1, Sec. 2:

Source of Government

Dunleavy is hiding underneath a rock. Not standing tall. Let’s hope he doesn’t get a job in Washington.

    • Bob Bird says:

Kevin: You are kind of behind the times, here. That insult hasn’t worked since the Covid Capers, stolen elections and the “Russia Russia” hoax have been exposed. I am afraid that the Tin Hats are now worn by your ilk.

  • KGAK says:

Damn good letter, Bob, 100% spot on. It’s like you reached into my head and pulled the words straight out. This state has become so ABSOLUTELY CORRUPT. Dunleavy, as you said, and I agree, has either lost his mind, been compromised, or been threatened. Perhaps all three.

Thank you for putting this down in black and white for everyone to see. It could not have come at a more important time for Alaska. Soon, we will all be forced to reckon with the damage done to this state by Gov. Dunleavy, his administration, and the legislature.

Alaska is facing another mass exodus; thousands are fleeing her collapsing economy. And make no mistake, this collapse is no accident. It is the direct cost of Dunleavy and his administration selling out the very people they swore to protect in order to empower the Corporation of Alaska. They are forcing a carbon economy and renewable energy mandates we cannot afford, money the state doesn’t have unless it strips it indirectly from the citizens. All of this while our true wealth, oil, gas, coal, timber, fish, and minerals, lies right beneath our feet. Then comes the ultimate insult: the false, manufactured closure of Cook Inlet, a political stunt that cuts our lifeline while padding the pockets of those who profit off scarcity. No one will write great books about Dunleavy, only about the destruction and betrayal. His name will not be remembered as a leader, only as the man who abandoned his state and evaporated into the ashes of history.

The recall changed him. And in my view, it revealed the truth: he wanted that seat more than he wanted to represent and protect this state and its citizens. Power became the prize, not service. And now, the Corporation of ALASKA and its citizens are drifting apart, like enemies locked on opposite sides of the battlefield.

History has shown us what happens when leaders turn their backs on the people.

Thanks again, Bob. You’ve spoken truth when silence has become the easy path. You are a true American and a great Alaskan, and right now, voices like yours, may be the only thing keeping us from the edge.

  • SameSadStory says:

Good article. But….do we have a candidate with a spine who has integrity? im not convinced. Alaska has a liberal constitution, and a corrupt government that’s been run by the good ole boys. Money, sex and backroom deals. You know this Bob. DOGE. thats a start….then expose and jail time.

  • Destry says:

    Greetings Bob~
Destry here. We met one night in Healy and I introduced you to the Alaska General Jural Assembly. I am sure you remember me. I have full intentions of running for Governor beginning in January. It’s time that someone who gets their hands dirty daily working a clock-in, clock-out job runs for Governor. After dealing with the destructive abuses of the legal and law enforcement industries, and dealing with the bullshit we have witnessed over the last 12 years, Alaska must have a fundamental change back to America’s roots and original jurisdiction as the founders intended. Time for counties and elected sheriffs instead of boroughs. Time to have the capitol in Alaska and not on a southern island so the capitol will be easily accessible to all Alaskans. Time to put the corporate state on it’s head and do a full audit. Time to restore the power of the people instead of a small group lying to the people. Alaska has abundance of wealth that belong to the people and not outsiders. The Alaskan people must benefit from our resources that are being exported. Much more to come but this is not the proper time to reveal it yet.

  • Davesmaxwell says:

Likewise Destry. I’m also running for governor! I know what activity takes place in the back room of alaskas government! As a whistle blower who is courageous in the face of this corruption, I’m not ignorant as to the murderous means those in charge will go! ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE 2 WEEKS AFTER I ENTER THE OFFICE OF GOVERNOR!
THE QUESTION FOR THE PEOPLE IS HAVE THEY HAD ENOUGH OF DUNLEAVY?
    REVOLUTION, REFORMATION, REVIVAL
    PRAY…..PREPARE…..PROCEED
    DAVE MAXWELL FOR GOVERNOR

  • Steve Peterson says:

Dunleavy is a case study in starting well and ending poorly. All the “standing tall for Alaska” promises were just bravado because he was cowed and emasculated from the first push-back from the left. He allowed the left to become entrenched and powerful with almost no governance. Most egregious was his retention and promotion of Ann Zink.

  • Davesmaxwell says:

TRY AGAIN. Destry go for it! i will also be putting my name in the ring of . I AM VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE CORRUPTION IN THIS DEMONS PIT AND KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT, AS I WAS A WHISTLE BLOWER WHO WAS RETALIATED AGAINST!

    • Destry says:

Gotta have a peaceful revolution. I do not care if they threaten me in any way, I will make all threats 100% public. I absolutely refuse to swear the oath to the Crown that is normally done 20 minutes after the Governor is sworn in. Just like what Elon told them, Go F themselves! take a look at alaskadejure dot org. Also get a really good read on the Covenant on that site. I have full intentions on bringing that Covenant to all Alaskan’s attention and hopefully have it on the 2028 ballot for a state convention to finalize it and adopt it. People may like it as it is or people may want to modify it or reject it. Who knows. Great to have the option though.
Every day I will ask the Alaskan people what I can do for them. I will have an open forum for all Alaskans to give me their suggestions, needs and grievances. My duty will be to address them. I will read through the forum daily for my instruction. Time for self governance by the people and not a top down corporate dictatorship. The Governor is to serve the people only. The governor is not to tell the people what to do. The Bill of Rights is our document and it cannot be touched or ignored.
I cannot do this alone either. Going to need some like minded people to be involved who deep down want to do this for our future and posterity and not for personal gain. 1959 was corporate statehood. The people never organically settled the land of Alaska until 2020. Notices published abroad with zero rebuttals. We have standing to do this that cannot be challenged. Up to us Alaskans together to make it happen. Much of this is explained on the above named website. Donald Trump did his part, up to us to complete it.
I am a fabricator / welder and have been for decades. I fix the screw-ups of engineers. I make things function and work as intended or better than intended. I believe Alaska can be a shining star and an example to the rest of the states of what a de jure state can be. But this cannot happen unless it is done through the Governor’s office. Dunleavy failed the people horribly and refused to abide by the 10th Amendment state’s rights. We gave Dunleavy instruction. Dunleavy did comply with a few directives so I have to give him credit for that but did not act on the major directives issued to him by the people.
