The Sitka School Board shut down a group of upset citizens who showed up to a recent meeting to express their concerns about a local middle school teacher who praised a violent attack that landed a local conservative man in the hospital with a concussion, bruises and a broken nose.
According to a report from local radio station KCAW the Sept. 3 school board meeting “turned contentious” when a group of roughly 30 citizens were told they could not speak about individual school staff members, but should instead submit official compliant forms to the district office.
The controversy stems from an Aug. 30 anti-Trump protest in Sitka where 19-year-old Pietr K. Dabaluz was arrested for allegedly attacking two counter protesters who were on hand to express support for President Trump and Israel.
The alleged attack occurred along Sitka’s main roundabout which has become ground-zero for weekly leftist protests to rail against Trump and wave pro-Palestine, DEI and LGBTQ signs, along with others that criticize Trump’s efforts to address illegal immigration and other policies.

According to Sitka resident Marshall Albertson, Dabaluz ran over to the conservative counter-protesters and grabbed an Israeli flag from a man named Steve Lee. Albertson said he went to help Lee, who was allegedly stabbed with the blunt end of the flagpole like a spear. Albertson said Pietr grabbed Lee and threw him to the ground, where he lost consciousness.
Upon being confronted by Marshall, Pietr then allegedly punched Marshall and knocked him out as well, Marshall recounted. Pietr then proceeded to stomp on Marshalls back and head and punch him, he said. A Facebook video, which has been taken down, shows a portion of the attack.
Within hours of the incident, Marshall claims a local middle school teacher, took to social media to praise the alleged attack against him.
“So, while I generally don’t condone pugilism [boxing], I heard a native kid handed Marshall’s ass to him at the roundabout today. I condone this,” the Facebook post by a man named Alexander Allison stated.

While the post was quickly taken down, a screenshot of the original lists the poster as Alexander Allison – a “rising contributor” to the Sitka Splatters Facebook page. Alexander Allison is also the name of a teacher listed on Blatchley Middle School website.
Some parents pulled their kids from Allison’s class, and others showed up to express their concerns with the school board.
According to KCAW radio, Sitka School Board President Phil Burdick started the Sept. 3 meeting by telling members of the public that they were not permitted to “air grievances” against a district employee.
“This is not the time or the place or the process for this,” Burdick said. “I’ve heard from many of you already, and I will not allow this portion of the meeting to turn into a trial of public opinion.”
Marshall had planned to share his concerns about the teacher, but left frustrated that the board would not allow him to speak plainly on the issue.

Criminal charges need to be brought against the attacker and charges of police obstruction against the board members that advocate against lawful handling of the violence against a citizen. The school. board is complicit in crime and should be charged and prosecuted the same.
Appears as if this might be an infringement of Freedom of Speech by the school district. There is a huge problem in America when a citizen (employer) cannot voice against a school staff person (employee). But one can force a baker (private person) to bake a cake against the baker’s principles. Where does this all end? Or does it end?
Well, how do you feel about Florida man’s demand that sexuality words like gay be removed from classrooms?
Agreed. Correct.

Here’s what it usually says on public- municipal meetings, which is at the beginning of each meeting.
When the left don’t get their way. They throw a tantrum, remember Charlie Kirk he just wanted to have a dialogue a conversation. But no, some brain washed kid didn’t want to talk either, just like the Sitka school board shutting peoples voices down.
This article is deeply concerning and highlights the dangerous consequences of political polarization and the abuse of power by school officials to silence criticism. The lack of accountability is appalling.
Sounds like Sitka needs a new school board. If you have a teacher supporting violence, the teacher needs to be shown the door. We’re always hearing about “zero tolerance” for the students, this standard goes for teachers as well and goes for the school board for shutting down any discussion.
ACCOUNTABILITY ANYONE? IT’LL NEVER HAPPEN WITH PUNKS IN CHARGE!!!

The school board and associates are obviously complicit. Disgusting.
This teacher, a white guy, “condones’ a Native kid getting 2 assault charges for knocking out two old people on the street.
He’s glad the Native kid did it, but we know he would never risk his own neck (& paycheck) to assault people he disagrees with.
Would he?
The Native Community in Sitka should be up in arms about a person who teaches their kids, then cheers when a Native boy gets in trouble by attacking someone the teacher dislikes. (better the natives get their hands dirty, right Alexander?)
