40 Days for Life is about to begin in over 13,000 locations around the world on Wednesday, September 24 – and Anchorage is one of them!
This peaceful, public six-week prayer effort that began in 2007 has seen 181 abortion facilities close – 274 abortion workers quit – and almost 26,000 unborn lives saved. That’s also 26,000 mothers and 26,000 fathers protected from the physical, emotional, and spiritual impacts of abortion. Praise God!
In Alaska, however, abortion is still legal throughout all nine months, and we have an abortion facility right in our town of Anchorage. Let’s join together and pray that abortion becomes unthinkable, with parents being offered life for their children. Let’s beg God to shut down the Anchorage Planned Parenthood.

Alaskanyuk. You got me there. Given the horrors of the dismemberment of critical thinking and peace and justice in America right now, I do not think we will survive as a nation. I have lost hope.
As a liberal, I was stunned to see the number of attendants, right wing speakers, blending of the constitution and Christianity and the emotional fervor at the Arizona memorial for Charlie Kirk. It cemented for me that the Right is going to overtake the Left and democracy will fail. This scares me. The right has become militant fueled by unsupportable beliefs like Christianity and assault on the scientific method like anti vax and dismissal of a mountain of evidence to support anthropogenic climate change. It gets back to supernatural beliefs. If you believe in god and satan, heaven and hell and talking snakes and ghosts and demons and angels, you’ll fall for anything, like vaccines don’t save lives.
That’s why we keep fighting, Manny! Sometimes, it takes many battles to win a war. Prayer and fasting on our part won’t hurt you. It might even be more effective if you mock us!
Manny read the Bible it’s speaks to 40 days, many times in the Bible. Yes with prayer God will answer. For where two or more are gathered together in my name I am there among them.
How will you know your god answers your prayers? Has he ever, can you prove it? As an atheist, referencing the Bible as explanation has no merit.
Since I know you want my advice, do sorta the opposite of what two Mormon missionaries suggested to me: find a comfortable place with no distractions, no urgency for anything and open my heart and mind and ask if god exists? I suggest you do the same but open your heart and mind to accepting that there is no god. This is a tough assignment like it was for me. But it helped. Main thing was quietly discarding my beliefs, clean slate. Very hard.
I live in Quinhagak. We haven’t had public radio or TV for the last two decades. We won’t miss it.

We must stand against evil that continues, especially in this case when it is the continuing murder of innocent children in our midst, every day! There is warfare in the heavenly realm going on 24/7. We will not know that full effect of our prayers and scriptural declarations spoken while still in this earthly realm. ( Although we are privy to many answered prayers we learn about and know they are causing angels to be dispatched to protect and Holy Spirit to move in hearts). Here’s one thing to know…On Oct. 3rd the defunding of Planned Parenthood is triggered by the implementation of the “Big Beautiful Bill” Congress passed this summer!

Abortion is a direct assault on the precious Child in the womb of its mother. Studies show that a woman who aborts lives threat of her life in regret and grief and loss.
Abortions violates our indigenous cultures’ values and dignity. It is also unsustainable to us as a minority population.
Definitely out the door for all abortions and treatments of such and out the door with Planned Parenthood. That organization is the bane of Alaska and the USA, just as Lisa Murkowski, chief enabler of Planned Parenthood is the bane of Alaska in all her corrupt, lying ways.
