The Catholic Diocese of Fairbanks is highlighting national Respect Life Month with a series of calls for Alaskans to fully engage the effort to protect pre-born babies from abortion.
Catholic parishes across the country place a special focus on pro-life activities during the month of October.
In Fairbanks, the diocese is asking local Catholics to contact their state legislators.
“Many Alaskans are unaware that we have the most permissive abortion laws in the country, allowing for children to be murdered in the womb at every stage up until the moment of birth,” a recent Facebook post from the diocese explains. “Call and write to your representatives to let them know this must change!”

The diocese noted that every child in the womb should be “protected in law and welcomed in love.” It added that church teaching affirms that “human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception.”
In addition to contacting lawmakers, Fairbanks Catholics are also being asked to pray for the protection of the unborn “from conception to natural death.” The diocese has suggested that parishioners consider donating to the local pro-life clinic, Fyndout Free, which helps empower women to choose life for their pre-born baby.

Our battle is with the pro-abortion moneymaking Planned Parenthood who has been lying to the GenZ and telling them that “abortion is a human right.” NOT TRUE! Abortion is MURDERING preborn babies made in God’s image. The abortion clinic windows have signs with the messages that “Abortion is Health Care.” NOT TRUE. Abortion is not health care. It is the MURDER OF preborn babies created in the image of God. Planned Parenthood wants you to bring them more babies to abort to fund their sales of baby body parts for experiments at “hospital labs.” in San Francisco, San Diego, Baltimore and other experimental labs. Young people are told to take this pill. First the pill strips the baby of all nutrients, the second pill is taken at home and causes the delivery of a dead baby and a shocked mother. Of course Dunleavy is not going to support discontinuation of abortions or repeal of the law on abortions as it stands today! Abortion is big business in our state and every state in the USA. It is a commercial enterprise allowed by law for the taking of organs during a mutilation process of the fetus or new born infant being euthanized. In Alaska we have a number between 1000 to 1500 abortions a year. The age group using this procedure is usually between 14-25 with the possibility of some older women. The state budget is a part of the moneys providing it through Medicaid and moneys in the budget. The commercial aspects of abortions is in the thousands and thousands of dollars for organs, tissue and body parts profit. The hospitals all have access to that legal enterprise through the law and the Code of Federal Regulations in the hospital certifications. I believe the state law is about 1978 or thereabouts when the intent was put to the statutes. I believe it should be stopped all together and have always voted against it and I will till my last breath.
But for over 20 years our senator Murkowski has applied her preferences for abortions to ensuring the procedure continues in the state and across the USA and International funds for other countries. Murkowski is obsessed with abortions and calls it, “healthcare” instead of what it is. A procedure to abort a life. She is a Catholic and touts her religion to the Eastern Catholic churches and continues on the destructive path of supporting the killing of a fetus. Because she touts her political position so well while in church and during mass, Murkowski is now in the position by the Archbishops and priests officiating, where she is passed by during communion. The priest moves on during that point in mass to distribute the host to a practicing catholic who adheres to the principle of canon law.
The “good fight” on getting rid of abortion in our law is not ended. It will go on for a long time into the future with elected officials like Murkowski living in denial and pure evil. but, do not give up!
