“I am, myself, a product of an unplanned pregnancy… my parents chose life, and I am very profoundly grateful that they did.”
Those are the words of U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, speaking just a week ago at the national March for Life, where tens of thousands of Americans filled the streets of Washington, D.C. – hours before a major snowstorm hit and blanketed the entire region.

They came anyway.
They came in freezing temperatures and uncertain weather – to speak the unchangeable truth that human life at every stage has eternal value.
But now, especially since the Dobbs decision overturning Roe V Wade returned the issue of protecting innocent unborn lives to the states, this issue is much more that what happens in Washington, D.C.
It’s a state by state issue and Alaska, unfortunately, is one of the least safe places to be in the United States for those who have yet to take their first breath.

The Alaska Supreme Court continues to misinterpret our State Constitution by manufacturing a right to abortion in the privacy clause and overturning every pro-life policy that comes to them. And, wayward Republican legislators, despite being elected as a majority in the State Senate and House, continue to give power to pro-abortion Democrats.
That is why we are so honored to host the Alaska March for Life on Saturday, April 25th in Anchorage. The conviction that filled the streets of our nations’ Capitol must now be carried into the Great Land to speak truth, be a voice for the voiceless and shape outcomes for women, children and families in our own state.
ALASKA WATCHMAN DIRECT TO YOUR INBOX
Our intent is to make this the biggest pro-life gathering in Alaska history by starting NOW to encourage people to get engaged. Our primary strategy for this years’ Walk will be to get teams together from churches and schools to create camaraderie, excitement and – most importantly – amplify the reality that women and children deserve better than abortion, that life is precious, that those who have made decisions they regret are forgiven, that our hope lies in the forgiveness and promises Jesus offers to everyone who will believe and receive, that we are better as a community and society when we stand up for the least of these.
This is not just for those in Anchorage. We’re planning to get sponsored buses to bring Alaskans from Fairbanks, Mat-Su and the Kenai Peninsula to join us. Stay tuned for those details.
To kickstart the campaign, please RSVP by clicking HERE to show your support and receive periodic updates about how we can grow this into an historic, life changing, life-saving moment in Alaska.
With your help, Alaskans will stand together, speak clearly, and choose life – here at home, where it matters most.
