A recent pro-life event in Fairbanks included Josh Church, who is the running mate for gubernatorial candidate Dave Bronson.

Church joined fellow pro-life advocates along the Cushman Street Bridge as they held signs and engaged in conversations with the passing public.

A photo from the event shows Church holding a sign that states, “Life – the first INALIENABLE RIGHT.”

Other signs read:

— “Abortion Hurts Women”

— “Adoption the loving option”

— “Abortion Kills Children”

— “Pray to end abortion.”

The Jan. 23 Fairbanks rally coincided with the National March for Life, which takes place each January in Washington, D.C. where tens of thousands of pro-life advocates affirm that pre-born babies have an inalienable right to life.

This year, Vice President J.D. Vance spoke at the D.C. march, emphasizing that every life is a gift from God, not a burden or inconvenience to be destroyed through abortion.

On April 25, pro-life advocates from across Alaska are planning to hold a massive march through downtown Anchorage with the hope of working with churches, schools, youth groups and other organizations from across the state to make it the largest pro-life witness in state history.

While the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, the killing of preborn babies in Alaska has remained unchanged due to the Alaska Supreme Court’s insistence that abortion is somehow protected by the State Constitution’s privacy clause.

In fact, since Roe was overturned, more than 1,200 unborn Alaska babies have been killed through abortion every year.
