In a stark contrast to his defeated opponent’s angry concession rant, Dave Bronson thanked Forrest Dunbar for a hard-fought campaign.
“Tonight’s numbers solidify our lead in this race,” posted to Facebook following the latest vote count totals in the Anchorage mayoral runoff election. “I am extremely humbled by the people of Anchorage and their decision to elect me as Mayor.”
After the May 21 vote count totals were released, Bronson has a solid 1,191 vote lead – 45,889 to 44,698. The Anchorage Assembly will certify the results on May 25.
Unlike Dunbar’s concession post, Bronson reached out to Dunbar and his supporters.

“This was a hard-fought battle, and I know that there are some in Anchorage who did not vote for me,” Bronson said. “As Mayor I will work to bring this city back together so we can make Anchorage more vibrant than ever.”
He concluded by thanking his army of supporters and volunteers.
“From the beginning, this campaign was a voice for the people,” Bronson said. “We had hundreds of volunteers who wanted to see this city go in a new direction, and now I can confidently tell them we are headed that way!”
“Thank you to my staff and family who helped me through this whole process,” Bronson concluded. “Also, thank you to Forrest and his campaign. We had a lot of important conversations throughout this election, and I look forward to continuing to have them. Thank you Anchorage; now let’s get to work!”

We need show out in droves now to remove the liberal cancer that has infected our local governance. Progressive Leftist Ideologues are by far the minority – but they hold almost all the positions of power.

May the Anchorage-Eagle River-Chugiak- Girdwood church families use this rest period we been given by electing Bronson the time they need to flood the streets with the Gospel moving peoples lives in ways unimaginable. Cause its going to take the Peoples Will to continue electing more Conservative pro family, pro police, pro business, pro self sustainability pro smaller government mayors the next 5 mayoral election cycles (15 years of conservative and common sense thought in city hall). It takes the Will of the people Bronson keeping supporters support as well as gaining new supporters in three years for himself and for his successors, and only God Himself can change peoples from the inside out to have that will to do good.
