Anchorage State Senator Löki Tobin unleashed a vitriolic, profanity-laced diatribe against Alaskans who support newly enacted rules that bar gender-confused biological males from competing in girls’ high school sports.
In an Oct. 10 rant to her email followers, Tobin denounced new policies approved by the Alaska Schools Activities Association and the State Board of Education with a message titled, “Discrimination and hate are bullshit.”
For months now, Tobin has echoed the talking points of Planned Parenthood and ACLU of Alaska, claiming that biological males have a “right” to compete as girls, so long as they internally believe they are females trapped in male bodies.
In trying to make her point, Tobin, perhaps inadvertently, admitted that males have a natural physical advantage over girls.
She claimed that in high school she “wrestled against young men whose muscle mass was twice mine.”
Tobin then seemed to suggest that girls should just get over the fact that biological males might occasionally compete against them, stating that the world is “often seemingly unfair and filled with unwarranted obstacles.”

She then suggested that body types aren’t what really matter after all, claiming that “competitive advantage sometimes is not held within one’s body type. It may sound cliché, but it’s what’s inside that counts.”
Tobin went on to accuse the Alaska School Activities Association Board of Directors of pandering to “fear-mongering,” while “using kids as political pawns” in “adopting a discriminatory policy” against what she calls “trans girls.”
Not once, did Tobin address the substantial concerns, expressed by hundreds of Alaskans, that biological males present a threat to both the integrity and safety of girls’ high school sports. Instead, she stuck to her talking points, claiming that any effort to restrict males from competing as girls was amount to “state-mandated discrimination, bigotry and bullying.”

I internally believe that there is no such thing as gravity. I internally believe that I have a right to murder my neighbor. I internally believe that there are 50 hours in a day. I internally believe that Loki Tobin should run for president……So much for basing decisions on feelings. It seems that Tobin has no sense of right and wrong and should not be a legislator making our decisions.
Ask students what they think of this? It’s lots of adults talking, but the younger generation is what is being effected. Seriously, ask a student!
No. Adults make these decisions. Students, I.E. children are not fully equipped to deal with such things. They can’t see the long-range ramifications of accepting the possibility that a boy can be a girl. They can’t see the effects down the road of what happens to a gender-confused kid. Especially our kids in public schools where they are being fed false and misleading information daily on this (and a few other) issues. Adults/Parents make these decisions because it is our job to make sure our kids are protected from predation.

I don’t remember anyone that ran against her. So RCV and “mail in voting” (which for this election was NOT, yes absentee) had nothing to do with this. This was Tom Begich’s, Democrat, seat, he endorsed her. This is a blue district and always goes Socialists!

So what would Tobin think if one of these internally believing trapped males should defeat her daughter (if she has one) in some athletic event that cost her a scholarship for college? What you will see is the city people, who are usually not true Alaskans with Alaskan values, but invasive liberals from Washington, California, Oregon, and the East coast. I’m getting tired of hearing this BS from people like her. She ruins things for everyone else. I have a solution. Get rid of all school sports from K thru 12. Eliminate it all. Then she won’t have anything to complain about and we won’t have to think about it anymore, at least in K-12. If kids want to participate in sports they can become involved in private clubs where the clubs can set whatever rules they want. College & professional sports can deal with it but at least locally we won’t have to waste anymore time on her unicorn dreams.

Am I the only one who has never seen similar demands for /from girls who think they are boys to play on boys teams with all the extras of shared showers? etc. What I see are boys, men, and supporters is male failures who have to put down another to feel like a winner.
