I apologize to the readers for writing yet another post about our witless Sen. Lisa Murkowski. I know you are tired of reading about her; I am tired of writing about her!

I have a half dozen articles on different subjects waiting in the queue to publish, but it seems like every day, Alaska’s Little Princess says something stupid, forcing me to respond.

Over the weekend, Murkowski said she would not vote for any of Donald Trump’s nominees unless the FBI vetted them first. In normal times this would be a perfectly reasonable request. The FBI should be a respected law enforcement agency used to investigate nominees to ensure their reliability and trustworthiness. However, we are no longer in normal times.

Lisa’s statement captures the essence of Donald Trump’s battle against the entrenched bureaucracy in Washington, D.C., which he calls the Deep State. Murkowski is a leading member of that bureaucracy, which is trying to control Trump and minimize the changes he can make. One form of their fight against him is to give the FBI virtual veto power over his nominees.

The recent withdrawal of Matt Gaetz as AG nominee is a perfect example of the FBI’s power. In 2020, the FBI received allegations against Matt Gaetz from a convicted felon. They opened an investigation into these charges, and after three years concluded that Gaetz had committed no crime. When Gaetz was nominated as AG, the FBI shared with Republican senators that an investigation had been conducted, leaving out that Gaetz was vindicated. This gave these RINOs a tenuous excuse to oppose Gaetz’s nomination. When their opposition was announced, Gaetz was forced to withdraw.

Before even being sworn in for his first term, the FBI conducted an illegal wiretap operation of Donald Trump and members of his administration based on the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign faux dossier.

That wasn’t the first time the FBI has influenced cabinet picks. In his first term, Trump was told it would be impossible to get strong nominees approved by the U.S. Senate’s confirmation process. This resulted in Trump being forced to nominate weak individuals for the AG position – people the Senate could intimidate, like Jeff Sessions, who, after being approved by the Senate, promptly recused himself from any investigation into the FBI’s illegal Clinton/Russia dossier investigation. This requirement also gave us the seditious Bill Barr as AG, who replaced Sessions. After the 2020 election, when Barr was notified by a U.S. attorney that there was election fraud in the 2020 election, he refused to investigate it.

There are other reasons for Donald Trump not to trust the FBI.

Before even being sworn in for his first term, the FBI conducted an illegal wiretap operation of Donald Trump and members of his administration based on the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign faux dossier. We now know it was all a hoax, but it was taken seriously at the time and used by the FBI to get a warrant to wiretap members of Trump’s inner circle.

Another example is former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn. The FBI feared Flynn, so they conducted a hostile interrogation of him under the pretext it was part of the vetting process. Even though written summaries of the interview show no wrongdoing by Flynn, he was still charged with crimes, removed from the Trump administration, and bankrupted by a corrupt prosecution.

Now, our dear Lisa wants to force Donald Trump to rely on the FBI for background checks before she will support nominees. That would be like requiring the mafia to approve all new bank tellers before they are hired. Nothing good will come of it.

We are in a new normal now. Trump recognizes the FBI for what they are. They are no longer an impartial law enforcement organization, but the praetorian guard protecting the deep state.

Lisa and her friends in the entrenched bureaucracy need to understand that justice is coming for those who have weaponized the government against the people. That is why the people reelected Donald Trump in a landslide victory. They want Trump to clean house of those that have broken the law and usurped our Constitution.

Trump’s campaign promise to root out Deep State corruption reminds me of the famous Wyatt Earp quotation from the movie Tombstone, where he says, “Tell ‘em I’m coming, and hell’s coming with me.” Get ready, Lisa. It’s 56 days until Trump’s inauguration.

Don’t let Murkowsky fool us Alaskans into believing that she can be filled with vile hatered for President Trump, yet at the same time say she carries love for Alaskans and their future. The human heart was not designed to harbor both love and hate at the same time.

    • Paul Hart says:

That’s a very strange thing to say. Aren’t human being supposed to be able to make value judgments? Has Lisa Murkowski SAID she has “vile hatred” for Donald Trump? I don’t think so. She a Republican, just not quite the MAGA cultist you would prefer. It’s pretty clear that some of Trump’s more controversial administration picks aren’t going to get a free pass. Do you think they should?

      • Charlie says:

Why not? Biden’s vile administration picks have had a free pass for the past four years. Double standards now that Trump is back? Sure looks like.

      • Paul Hart says:

Charlie, it was never the point for Trump to select people who were QUALIFIED, but to select people who were loyal, obedient, obsequious, and deferential. Kash Patel to direct the FBI? That he’s profoundly unqualified for the position isn’t even debatable.

    • Sally Duncan says:

Yep, she isn’t now for the people, never has been for the people, has always been for Lisa! VOTE HER OUT!!

  • Tim Agosti says:

Murky is desperately trying to hold onto any notion of power for the sake of power itself. She is part of the entrenched bureaucracy in the Senate that needs to be removed – she is up for re-election in 2026, btw – just like Pelosi, Mconnell & Graham . She is not good for Alaska and only serves her self-interests.

  • Neil DeWitt says:

Lisa, when first getting into Washington was ok. As time went along she got worse and worse. Now she’s a Democrat calling herself a republican. I think Trump should start house cleaning with RINO’s first. Bye Lisa Murkowski! it’s time for you to retire!

  • David Jones says:

More vile ad hominem attacks from Greg Sarber against Senator Murkowski aren’t surprising to us. But the blind support for convicted felon Donald Trump and and the MAGA loonies certainly is. Just another day from out the end of the road!

    • Lobo says:

More vile ad hominem attacks from little Davie… O’Biden’s surrogate.

    • thomas Lovings says:

That is right David do not let things like Facts stand in your way. Trump has not been sentenced and by law is therefore not a felon. Lisa is a RINO and a puppet for those that pay for her to get elected. Your Childish attacks ignored the issues in the article as you ignore facts again. . You are trolling with nothing but a hook.

    • Steve says:

David Jone is here for one reason and one reason only… to show all of us just how deranged the little people really are.
Now for Lisa. Lisa will always be nothing more than a spoiled brat. With the key that Daddy gave her she got a lock on the position of Alaska’s worse Senator, and now she’s making our lives a living hell, and giving Alaska a bruising. Lisa knows if President-Elect “President Trump” gets the team we elected him to gather she will be banished to nothing but a bad memory and lost time.

    • Tamra Nygaard says:

Oh, David. When a Senator votes regularly against the wishes of her constituents, and then cheats and lies to gain office, one could reasonable believe that she isn’t the best person for the office. The entire state voted for Donald Trump and his policies, and Lisa is making it clear she opposes him and his policies, so that puts her in opposition to her constituents. This isn’t too difficult for your to understand, I would think, except it is pretty clear you voted for the opposition, so I guess we can make our own judgements about your judgement from that.

      • Truth Network says:

Voting regularly against *your* wishes does not equate to voting against the wishes of her constituents.

    • Think Mirror says:

David, you must live a tormented existence.
You call people like me names over and over without ever having met me or even bothering to know the slightest thing about me or why I vote for MAGA. You make up your assumptions while repeating leftist talking points with a heart so filled with hatred that you have no awareness left to reflect on your self and ask the important question; “why am I so filled with bitterness that I take it out on strangers on the internet?”

Maybe one day you will have an opportunity to ponder life’s greater mysteries, but instead you only show the inadequacies of your own character and reveal that you really add nothing and only hinder social and spiritual progress.

    • Truth Network says:

It’s almost like they’re afraid of what the background checks may turn up.

  • Kenneth L. Wells says:

Donald Trump is probably in the Guiness book of world records as the most investigated man in all of history. So, naturally, we need to have an agency that illegally surveilled him in the past, conduct a background check.

BTW, ladies and gentlemen, the deep-state actors and Biden Puppeteers have started WW III and seem to want to escalate it to a nuclear exchange.
The duplicity of senator murkowski would seem to be a relative non-issue in comparison.

    • Steve says:

The first part of your statement is completely factual. The second part is speculation, and maybe correct. But as far as Lisa’s behavior it’s anything but a non-issue.

      • Kenneth L. Wells says:

        Hallo, Steve.
We, the maga/tea party/true conservatives, whatever you want to call us, I think we have successfully wrested control of the GOP back from the neo-cons/RINO’s, whatever you want to call them. Murkowski is one of them, perhaps she will pull a liz cheney and do us a favor?
We’ve got about 2 months before Trump and his gang of X-Men take over. Murkowski and the DNC/deep-state want war and they don’t much care if it goes nuclear or not.

  • Justin Michesloff says:

Sadly, the Deep State is alive and fully active in the Senate, Lisa is just another part of the problem. If you wonder how, look at who the senate republicans installed in the chairman positions of some of the most important committees then tell me that made any sense at all if you want change. Names like Thune, McConnell, Collins And Murkowski, all clear opponents of the agenda the majority of America voted in. Why were they installed? Why not ones who support the agenda? Sullivan is no better, look at his voting record on these votes.

    • Truth Network says:

Um, to be clear, the majority of America *did not* vote for Trump.

      • Friend of Humanity says:

[un]Truth Network, trying to keep the lies alive on the internet again huh? The majority of People in America voted for President Donald J Trump. Maybe the majority of demon worshippers did not?

  • jim Bishop says:

Joel. You do great harm to your reputation and the quality of the Alaska Watchman by allowing Sarber’s distortion of evidence and celebration of immorality to be published here. He is a creative source of conspiracy theories.

    • Eleisa M Trampler says:

Indeed Jim, and this is how conspiracy theories grow, a bunch of gossips talking about what they think they know, loosely based on a few facts. Yes, secrets were kept by the government, not all of us need to know everything at the time it is happening. (I lived through that era of our questionable involvement in Central America and then Vietnam). Yes, governments are at times unethical and even corrupt. But our legislative, executive and judicial branches served us remarkably well in the past. That said, to insure that our system of checks and balances is working properly we must put reforms in place to see that each branch is held accountable for corruption and abuse of power. The Brennan Center for Justice has this to say about such abuses: “Our government was designed to withstand the influence of corrupt officials, a recalcitrant Congress, and excessive presidential authority. But without constant attention to those guardrails, the norms of democracy are threatened. Corruption and ethics problems have tarnished both the legislative and executive branches of our government, while rampant politicization infects the governing process. The Brennan Center fights for stronger ethics and lobbying rules to stop government dysfunction. We stand up for the rule of law. We pressure Congress to act as a watchdog on the executive branch. And we sound the alarm about the troubling growth of presidential authority.” (This last troubles me the most with the Supreme Court’s ruling on Immunity!)

  • Steve Chappell says:

That is not the job of the FBI. Murkcowski can’t suc it

  • Scott says:

Thanks for pointing this out. Lisa needs to go. She does not represent us real Alaskans and is fully entrenched in the deep state. She needs to go. She regularly chooses anti American policy and anti Alaska policies…

  • Kathy says:

Why is it that Trump being elected to the presidency has a “mandate” from the people, but Murkowski, elected to her position by Alaskans does not? She has shown herself to be principled and courageous – i mean just look at the article and the comments and the way y’all are talking about an elected official. Where is your common sense? And would you like to be treated the way you are treating Murkowski? I would much rather deal with a person of principle – even if I disagree with that person – than someone who stands for nothing and voices support for whatever they are told to, blindly, without seeking any other side to the story, and whose recourse to debate is that of a toddler – name calling and lying. Irionic that you would call Murkowski “princess” when you just put a toddler king in power. Y’all messed around, made a deal with the devil, and now you’re gonna find out. Unfortunately, the rest of us who can see the truth are going to suffer for your greed, quest for power, and belief that the ends justify the means. If that’s what God believed, would he have made his son suffer?

    • Tamra Nygaard says:

Gosh, Kathy, I can’t imagine why we feel this way about a woman who is all in on murdering babies, obstructs the will of the people (Trump’s cabinet picks), can’t seem to figure out how to get oil production working up here, and sides with the opposite party while claiming to work for us. I also can’t imagine why we don’t trust her after she lied to keep her seat in the Senate. I just can’t see why we don’t think she is the second coming of Christ.

      • jim Bishop says:

Tamra, the will of the people is represented by three branches of government, not just the presidency. Also, you’re calling out Murkowski for an alleged lie while your guy Trump would lie when the truth would serve him better. You have been fooled. You want to be fooled. Despite your cult-like adoration of the first felon to be elected president, as he effs up the country, you’ll suffer too.

      • Truth Network says:

It is far past time to re-introduce civics into education. The founding fathers establishes a system of checks and balances in government. No branch is superior to the others. The executive branch *is not* superior to the legislative branch.

  • Kathy says:

Tamra, thanks for making my argument for me. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Greg says:

The ultimate RINO….Lisa, just go away! I have ZERO respect for you! I don’t know of any conservatives who support you, or Collins, so just go away, or admit your leftist allegiance!! Alternatively you could simply support Trump and his cabinet nominees!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and thank God for all of our blessings!

  • jon says:

In my opinion Lisa Murkowski is the true Republican. MAGA fanatics will ruin this country.

  • ed says:

Lisa is a RHINO, with the look of constipation on her face all the time! A liberal at heart and her bank accounts are full! She has deceived the remote towns and villages of Alaska and yet they still vote for her. Broken promises! Lets vote her out.

  • Greg says:

jon – you a troll? You uh know uh dat uh MAGA mean uh make uh merika trolls uh great uh ghen….uh?

  • Ronald Keel says:

jon-why don’t you take a cue from Ellen Degenerate and hit the road if you think this country is head for ruin? As far as Murkykowski is concerned she is making Alaska more famous for her commie BS than what beauty Alaska has to offer. A true California Feinstein prodigy. She learned well and now is a total Alaskan embarrassment. Another selection and sadly by her own father. That’s a real head shaker.

  • Gary Hammond says:

Great article. The author is correct on his assessment of Lisa Murkowski. Time to retire her. Alaska cannot afford a political dynasty that works against the interests of its people.

  • Fritz says:

Repeal Ranked Choice Voting in 2026. We need to start organizing now. Contribute to the campaign to rid Alaska of VooDoo voting. Then….Vote Murkowski out in 2028. Today We need positive forward thinking. Currently Nothing can be done to control the contempt Murkowski has for the majority of Alaskans and the majority of Americans.
