Alaska is about to be subject to dozens of angry hard-leftist protesters.

From Kotzebue to Ketchikan, and many places between, no less than 17 Alaska cities, towns and villages will endure radical, nationally-organized anti-Trump demonstrations on June 14.

The “No Kings” movement is a coalition of Marxists, LGBTQ radicals, pro-abortionists, immigration activists, climate change alarmists, teachers’ unions, big labor and many other Democrat and left-leaning groups.

The protests, which are centrally organized by the multi-million dollar Washington, D.C. based non-profit, Indivisible, are timed to coincide with national Flag Day and celebration of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.

According to the Indivisible website, the demonstrations are meant to divert attention away from the Army military parade in Washington, D.C., which organizers assert is just a way for Trump to “celebrate himself.”

While attempting to overshadow celebrations of the U.S. Army, No Kings organizers are urging local protesters across the nation coordinate with LGBTQ activists to ensure they don’t detract from any Pride Month events or gender identity parties and parades.

“Instead of allowing this military parade to be the center of gravity, activists will make action everywhere else the story of America that day,” the Indivisible website states.

Without getting into specifics, the website airs a litany of grievances that Trump has supposedly inflicted on Americans.

“They’ve defied our courts, deported citizens, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, slashed essential services, and handed billions to their allies. Enough is enough,” the website exclaims. “We’re not gathering to feed his ego. We’re building a movement that will leave him behind. The flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us.”

The group goes on to claim that President Trump thinks of himself as a king.

“This country doesn’t belong to a king — and we’re not letting him throw himself a parade funded by tens of millions of our taxpayer dollars while stealing from us and stripping away our rights, our freedoms, and the programs our families rely on,” organizers assert. “On June 14th, we’re coming together to send one clear message: No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.”

The No Kings website claims to have “a commitment to nonviolent action,” but the group’s rhetoric is heated and comes at a time when violent anti-Trump protests have trashed and terrorized parts of California.

While attempting to overshadow celebrations of the U.S. Army, No Kings organizers are urging local protesters across the nation coordinate with LGBTQ activists to ensure they don’t detract from any Pride Month events or gender identity parties and parades.

In the Mat-Su, however, No Kings activists plan to infiltrate the historic Palmer Colony Days Parade by officially marching down main street with anti-Trump banners and signage.

Other Alaska protests are scheduled in following communities: Ketchikan, Juneau, Petersburg, Sitka, Gustavus, Haines, Valdez, Copper Basin, Palmer, Anchorage, Soldotna, Homer, Kodiak, Healy, Fairbanks, Nome and Kotzebue.

Hard leftist Alaska organizations such as the ACLU, Stand UP Alaska and Mat-Su United for Progress are helping facilitate or promote these local protests.

  • JenL says:

Joel, thanks for the heads up on these AK protests. We plan to be at our local June 14 event with our God Bless America and President Trump flag. Hopefully many others will do the same in their communities rather than sit in silence. Like Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

    • Patman says:

      Well said, Jen.

    • Lexicon says:

Damn so god will hold you accountable if you stay silent in the face of evil, interestingly enough he hasnt seemed to hold himself accountable for all the silence hes done throughout history. Also, using the military against civilians is a pretty good reason to protest, given its a literal abuse of power. Oh and of course we cant forget how the police and ice that trump himself sent are violating peoples rights and shooting reporters. Just be honest with yourself, you dont gcare about people getting hurt, you only care to play politics like its a sports game and root for your side, heedless of the harm they cause.

      • HR Castine says:

The military would not be involved if so called Protesters don’t turn it into looting, car burning, and destruction of a community or city. There are a lot of lies in your statement. How about the truth. That helps.

      • Ml Moore says:

Your arrogance is only exceeded by your ignorance

      • Penny Johnson says:

So turning from burning Teslas to burning humans is a good thing? Or burning Shapiro’s house? Or shooting Jews and CEOs? You’re on the 20% side of 80/20 and I couldn’t be happier. 2026 is coming and, as usual, the Dems continue to alienate the majority of the population – including LEGAL immigrants. Pffft!

    • MK says:

Thanks Jen, you just convinced me to support the NO KING movement. Keep supporting King LIAR and see where that goes.

  • Manny Mullen says:

Joel, you article is a cut and paste fear generator – “The “No Kings” movement is a coalition of Marxists, LGBTQ radicals, pro-abortionists, immigration activists, climate change alarmists, teachers’ unions, big labor and many other Democrat and left-leaning groups.” At least you didn’t include people who ride bicycles.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of AMERICANS will be denied health care because of Medicaid cuts and literally, children will be malnourished because of cuts to SNAP. These two complaints are among hundreds that true patriots who love our country and fight daily to make it better, that place blame on the shoulders of the least qualified president and cabinet in the history of the universe.

Shame of you for denigrating participants in the most basic of First Amendment rights. Shame on you for abetting the destruction of civility and democracy. Typically you promote conservative causes with out divisive hyperbole. Stick to that format.

  • Neil DeWitt says:

Well, I say this; if we know when and where the governor should deploy the national guard ahead of time to keep it peaceful. we seen what happened in L.A. why should we let that happen in Alaska. Governor Dunleavy, let’s get ahead and stop this before it happens. I’m a citizen for almost 40 years and I’ve heard and had enough of this whinning and crying from democrats. It’s time to face reality. I’m calling you to deploy the guard and keep these parades and protest peaceful. It’s time for democrats to graduate second grade. All the whinning, bullying and name calling has to stop. They want to be be second graders its time to treat them like second graders. I good spanking might help get them to grow up.

    • Proud Alaskan says:

      Amen, Alaskans locked and loaded

      • ML Moore says:

I like that, drive the liberals out of the last bastion of a real American State.

    • Bre says:

You don’t support the First Amendment?

    • Manny Mullen says:

Unfckinbelievable Neil that you promote violence and want to trash citizen’s first amendment rights. You say, “It’s time to face reality.” Whose reality? Yours? Yours is silliness-based, evidence-free, ghosts and demons. You don’t want to “keep these parades and protest peaceful”, you want the guard to injure them. You’re no patriot.

    • Alaskan Born says:

You’re a citizen for almost 40 years? Does that mean you’re almost 40 years old or does it mean you immigrated? Why are you so intent on spanking people exercising their First Amendment Rights? That seems….weird.

  • MeMe says:

It’s time to go after these NGOs and the politicians that are funneling our money into them.

  • Elizabeth Henry says:

All funded by George Soros and his ‘teammates’ . Foreign billionaire who despise our country and want to destroy it from within. The dupes who fall for the lies are only tools. They are fed by lies, delusions and likely money. I hope our communities stand strong against these idiots.

    • Bret maness says:

If Soros is funding all these protests, why hasn’t someone snuck in and got a paycheck to prove it? Seems simple enough

    • Manny Mullen says:

Henry. “The dupes who fall for the lies are only tools [like the J6 insurrectionists, like you]. They are fed by lies [Trump said “We were losing $2 trillion a year on trade.” “after an interviewer reminded him that not a single tariff deal with another country had been announced yet, “I’ve made 200 deals.” “he “got rid of” the ISIS terror group in just “three weeks” even though “people” had told him it would take five years. The group continues to operate today.”] delusions [
“Delusional suggests he has one of the easiest mental health issues to address.
Trump has a personality disorder, and the one he has, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, is almost impossible to treat.”

You’ve been conned and fooled. You wanted that.

      • ML Moore says:

Mullen, you live in the wrong State. Do you hear California calling your name.

  • JenL says:

MeMe, thankfully various X accounts (DataRepublican got the ball rolling on it) are exposing the NGO’s behind them. And thankfully X is not censoring those accounts.

    • Manny Mullen says:

Fox News vuvuzela Peter Hesgeth was head of two veteran support NGOs. His alcoholism and lack of experience and judgement shuttered both of them.

  • Shifra says:

Does anyone know why they are being allowed by parade organizers to be in the parade? What relevance does hating on Trump have to do with the Colony Days celebration?

  • Tamra Nygaard says:

Good luck with your useless protests, you little trolls. Nobody is buying what you are selling. Have fun in the parade; the rest of us certainly will, and probably at your expense.

    • Manny Mullen says:

Ooooo, a bit defensive there Tamra. Regarding protests to stop abortions: “Good luck with your useless protests, you little trolls. Nobody is buying what you are selling. Have fun in the parade; the rest of us certainly will, and probably at your expense.”

      • Tamra Nygaard says:

I notice, Manny, that you were not aborted. Perhaps you could extend the same courtesy to others?

      • Ken says:

Manuel Mullen you act like a key board tuff Guy! Chances are you won’t come out of Moms Basement!

  • NotAnymore says:

Man, I’m feeling disenfranchised. Why didn’t we throw pity parties in the streets while Biden was in office?

    • Steve says:

NotAnymore, what do you call the free-for-all that began in 2020 and didn’t end until 2025? Sounds like the liberals did nothing but party on our dime.

  • Janice Norman says:

I saw the non-profit Doctors With No Borders (or something like that) at the Palmer-Wasilla Three Bears store with their table set up in the foyer like they were accepting donations. I have never noticed that group before. I hope they were not secretly collecting funds for the “protests.” One of their big donors is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – tells me everything I need to know about them!

    • Concerned says:

      Janice,
Did you stop to ask why they were there? Did you think to gather information based on experience, or based on your own opinions? I respect your confidence in making correct assumptions and sharing them, although I would appreciate hearing more about how you came to said assumptions.

  • Paul Hart says:

A cult of personaliity is the result of an effort which is made to create an idealized and heroic image of a glorious leader, often through unquestioning flattery and praise (SEE: Fox News, OAN, Newsmax). Historically, it has been developed through techniques such as the manipulation of the mass media (SEE: Associated Press White House Correspondents Association), the dissemination of propaganda (SEE: Smithsonian), the staging of spectacles, the manipulation of the arts (SEE: Kennedy Center), the instilling of patriotism, and government-organized demonstrations and rallies (SEE: Trump’s Birthday Parade). You wanted a KING? Congratulations, now you have one.

You wanted a dictator. Congratulations. Now you have one.

    • Penny Johnson says:

Talk about a cult; the automaton , angry-bitter-vengeful Dems foment discord on cue wherever they go. like raccoons with a shiny object, the Dems run from one cause to the next, as if flailing blindly on 80/20 issues: trans vs. girls/women, climate “change” (4.3 billion years of it), burning Teslas, burning humans (Jews, Shapiro home), shooting humans ( Jews, candidates, CEOs) criminal illegals, recidivist
indigent “homeless” – drugs, crime, theft, fires. Yep, we know who the cultists are. Pffft!

    • Tamra Nygaard says:

Paul, please list all of the illegal acts done by the supposed “dictator.” Until you produce the goods, I’d say you are pretty much full of crap on this issue.

      I will wait.

      • Manny Mullen says:

Sorry Paul, gotta jump in here. Tamra, he was charged by a jury of 88 felonies and convicted of 34. That’s an easy one. others: Attempting to repeal birthright citizenship, Invoking emergency declarations to weaponize the military against immigrants. (Horse blinders are flaps attached to a Trump supporter’s ears on either side of the head, blocking off their vision. They are used to prevent supporters from being distracted or spooked by facts or common sense.)

      • Tamra Nygaard says:

Ah, Manny. Which of these supposed felonies (and they weren’t, else he’d be in jail) did he commit as President? Repealing birthright citizenship is not illegal–he is pursuing it in the legally prescribed manner. Emergency declarations are called for when an occupying force flying a foreign flag is attacking legally performing peace officers and ICE agents; just because you “disagree” with his politics or his legal moves as President, you don’t get to declare his actions illegal. Honestly, Manny, when you have to lie to make your point, you don’t have one.

      • Birch says:

Tamra, SO great to hear that he’s doing it in a legally prescribed manner. Would you mind sharing your background in law to verify this? Would also love to know if you too were born in the US. What doesn’t affect you, may affect your grandchildren. Would hate to see them be deported for lack of citizenship based on location of birth.

      Long Live King Trump!

  • V says:

How does one “officially March” out of curiosity?

  • Jennifer says:

How do you hold a protest in the Copper River Basin? Is that going to be at the ballpark in Glennallen? Or the KL Fairgrounds? Are they bussing in people? Are they bringing porta potties? Good luck with that.

    • Jennifer says:

But if they are bringing free cinder blocks! I’ll come load my truck up. I could use some free cinder blocks.

  • Mhj says:

50 year Alaskan resident. I once liked shopping in Anchorage. Now I avoid going there unless I must travel to the airport. So sad. I recently read that Anchorage is now U.S. famous as they made the Sanctuary City List. Your mayor must be so proud of that accomplishment.! Expect ICE to show up soon.

    • Manny Mullen says:

The Department of Homeland Security (run by cosplay movie star Kristi Noem) removed a list of “sanctuary jurisdictions” days after the agency posted it on its website. This list was created without any input, criteria of compliance, or a mechanism for how to object to the designation. Anchorage is/was on that list. Assumptions and absence of information lead to bad outcomes.

  • David Shoemaker says:

Thank you for the good reporting Joel. Keep it up!
These activists have lost their free money and are now angry. The rest of America hired a man to have the guts enough to stop using our money to pay their special interest and now there is nothing but whining and violent acting out behavior. Just like you find in a little child.
It is time we teach responsibility. I encourage all my fellow Alaskans to show up at the parades and fly you “Don’t Tread On Me” flags next to the American flag and Trum flag. This is our country, the 80% in the middle, country and we took it back 8 months ago. We’re not giving it back to the weak whiners

    • ML Moore says:

Mullen, you live in the wrong State. Do you hear California calling your name.

      • Emily says:

Why do you say he lives in the wrong state? Because he is advocating for our first amendment right as Americans? it sounds like you may be in the wrong county. Maybe North Korea would be more your style.

  • Dee Cee says:

I took a look at the Indivisible website. There’s a section called, “Find your group.” There are several affiliate groups in Alaska, most of which appear to have established in February or March 2025. They come out of nowhere and suddenly they are everywhere? This is not spontaneous or grassroots.

  • Boris says:

Trigger Alert! Just put my bullhorn battery on the charger, because trolling is so much better in person. Can’t wait!

  • Andrew says:

I’m a lifelong Alaskan and am proud of our fellow Alaskans for taking action. Can’t wait to attend this peaceful protest. First amendment rights exist for a reason.

  • Anonymous says:

People, do not become divided over this. It’s exactly why it’s being done. To divide and distract us to hate on side or the other. More is being done behind the scenes than we will ever know. Stay together.

  • SH says:

they claim to own the flag..so they can burn it
    how cute.
99.8 % of real americans will get a laugh out of these desperate losers.
    deport!

  • Ken says:

    You apparently censore free speech

    • ML Moore says:

We the people censor violence (rioting) instead of peaceful protest. We censor lawlessness, (of any kind including deportation), and we the people voted a man into office to uphold the laws of this land. End of Story!

      • Manny Mullen says:

So interesting that you view Trump as a lawful man. Evidence says he’s not. Can you defend your claim?

  • Emily says:

This is the most blatant and pathetic display of politically biased tripe that I have read in a minute. You can try to villainize American citizens exercising their constitutional right to protest, all because you don’t agree with with their views. But you look like nothing more than a sad, bigoted troll. Incapable of entertaining any perspectives other than your own. You have no business in journalism.

  • Birch says:

Wow, I congratulate you for writing such an incendiary article. However, these comments, as well as the connotations of your writing, are concerning. Why is it that any comment in opposition to what you are purportedly promoting (read: political agenda) is responded to with hate and name-calling? I am intrigued and would like to know why your article appeals to only one side of the political spectrum. Seeing articles with comments threatening hate and violence to those who wish to exercise their constitutional right to free speech and peaceful protest threatens all of our rights. I don’t recall seeing any peaceful protests on behalf of the right during Biden’s presidency, although please correct me if I am wrong. If you are truly writing for the public, I encourage you to include opinions from both sides of the political spectrum. If you are in fact not writing for the public, I think it may be best to rebrand your journalism to better reflect the content of your writing.

    • Manny Mullen says:

Birch. This website isn’t journalism. It’s a Christian Nationalist bulletin board. It’s useful, though, for the inteligencia to learn what motivates the poorly educated, violent and angry, anti-evidence ostriches.
