On Oct 29, a 11 a.m., the Alaska Supreme Court heard a case in which the justices will decide whether to allow advanced practice clinicians – including nurse practitioners – to administer the deadly Mifepristone abortion cocktail to totally healthy women in order to perform the violent act of aspiration abortion.

During the proceedings, justices asked questions of both the State of Alaska attorney Laura Wolff and Planned Parenthood’s lawyer Camila Vega.

I would recommend watching the video to see how Vega manipulated the English language to conceal the gruesome reality of abortion.

Manipulation

As the justices and Vega exchanged in conversation, they repeatedly referred to abortion as “care.” Really? How is poisoning a young mother to starve her child to death and setting her up for an 11% chance of hemorrhaging or sepsis, care?

Is it “care” to place a woman on a bed, force her cervix open and the violently suck apart – piece by piece – her perfectly healthy baby? Not even the worst criminal experiences this type of “care.”

On Oct. 29, Planned Parenthood brilliantly – but demonically – characterized a bloody, deadly event with the use of the word “care.” The language blinds people, including some of these justices, from the objective reality that abortion “care” entails killing people. It is actually the brutal act of shedding the blood of a healthy mom and innocent baby and cutting off generations of would be family members and loved ones that could have come from that little boy or girl.

This act of murdering a baby – a unique person with gifts and talents and purposes created by God – is described by Planned Parenthood as wonderful and necessary “care.”

Lies in the Courtroom

Along with language manipulation, there were also outright false statements.

Vega claimed it is uncontested that abortion is safe. She also made the statement that abortion and miscarriage are so similar that it should be fine for an advanced practice clinician to administer the Mifepristone death cocktail and vacuum out small babies from their mothers’ wombs.

Let’s start with the claim that abortions are safe.

They are not. Mifepristone can cause severe and even life threatening side effects in 11% of women. This includes hemorrhaging and sepsis. This is a serious risk, especially for woman in rural areas of Alaska who are hours from a hospital. Additionally, when the baby comes out, the mother can very well see their son or daughter, which can cause serious emotional distress and PTSD. Then of course there’s the baby who, through no fault of their own, is murdered by starvation.

Aspiration abortions are extremely violent. In a normal pregnancy, a woman will increase her blood volume by 20% up to 50% to nourish her baby and grow a placenta. It’s a tremendous blood loss to remove a healthy baby from a healthy mother. Afterwards she is most often left weak and brokenhearted.

The truth is that up to 80% of the time, she actually wanted her baby but was pressured into abortion by the child’s father or family members. Her child is gone forever and her heart is broken. This pain can last many years – even a lifetime.

So no, abortions are not safe for the mother or the baby.

Vega’s claim that miscarriage and abortion are the same was ignorant, at the very least. I can’t even believe I have to explain this, but here goes.

How did we stray so far as to think that the profession of healing should include the vocation of destroying vibrant young babies?

In a miscarriage, for whatever reason, the baby has died, the mother’s body recognizes this and it prepares for the baby to come out. Her hormones change, her blood volume decreases and when she does lose her baby, she has a 1.1% chance of hemorrhaging or needing hospital care. Usually, it’s a heartbreaking time for the mother emotionally but rarely does she require medical intervention.

In an abortion however, the mother and baby are almost always healthy, and the mother’s body is fully engaged in protecting and growing her child. Her hormones are soaring as is her blood volume. Her baby is alive and kicking and bouncing. It’s all systems go – a beautiful time of celebration as everything is falling into place for an absolute miracle.

When deadly chemicals or forced objects are introduced to kill this little boy or girl, they leads to suffering for both baby and mother – significant blood loss and most likely physical and emotional trauma.

When one of the justices asked Vega about the differences between miscarriage and abortion, instead of giving a straightforward answer, Vega dodged the question and said, they are both “time sensitive.”

A miscarriage that might need medical intervention is time sensitive whereas an abortion is totally elective. The only reason Vega claims abortion is time sensitive is because the baby is growing bigger and there will be more expense, more steps and more trauma involved in destroying the child. Killing older unborn children is bloodier, more time consuming and more painful for both mom and baby.

This is the stark reality that should have been clearly laid out before the justices.

Instead, Vega expressed concerned about there being any potential hinderances to killing unborn babies. At one point, she mentioned situations where women were forced to “have” their babies.

Listening to this portion of the hearing was surreal. It seemed too evil and twisted – a court of law casually discussing how horrible it is to have a child, while claiming that abortion is somehow “care.”

Vega and the justices discussed the possibility of expanding abortion practitioners as one might talk about opening an ice cream shop. They were emotionless with no discussion of the suffering of the actual child or pain endured by the mother.

Just to be clear, Alaska’s Constitution never mentions the word “abortion” or “abortion rights,” and there is no justification for Alaska to protect or expand the killing of innocent preborn babies. Alaska does not “owe” women abortions.

In fact, the original purpose of medical care is to help heal and promote life – to make people healthier and happier. The beauty of working in doctors’ offices or hospitals is to watch sick people come in and aid in their recovery and improved quality of life. The notion of allowing doctors and nurses to murder babies in the early stages of life is the exact opposite of healthcare. How did we stray so far as to think that the profession of healing should include the vocation of destroying vibrant young babies?

I hope you watch this disturbing court proceeding.

May God have mercy on you, Camila Vega, for using your God-given talents to promote the killing of His Little Ones for Planned Parenthood’s financial gain.

Thank you for writing this, Pamela. We have work to do to protect the innocent, unborn children in our state, and to help their parents see the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness in every human life.

  • Lila says:

If we are forced to pay for abortions that go against everything we believe, then they should be forced to pay for our children’s Christian education that goes against everything they believe. Period.

  • David Eastman says:

In times passed, people were paid in this country to sell other people in markets. Now some are paid to kill other people. Murder for hire should always and everywhere be illegal, especially in hospitals where patients young and old are most vulnerable.

  • Richard Stoffel says:

I wish Pat Martin, chairman of Alaska Right to Life, would have been in that court room to give facts about the horrors of abortion. Good job Pamela and David.

Time to repeal AS 18.16.010 and AS 18.16.020. Long overdue…Sen Lisa Murkowski has pushed and promoted abortions and worked diligently for national and international money to go to abortions for years. She is a top supporter of Planned Parenthood and approved tax payor funds to keep it up and running and working. Has anyone asked Lisa Murkowski at what age did she have her abortion? But, the bigger problem are the medicare and medicaid clinics and hospitals that have a rule by the federal government on the certification of hospitals to operate, they have to perform abortions and take organs, etc. Check in the CFR’s and the USC. While ordinary people sleep, the out of control senators like Murkowski do dirt that you have no idea of. Crime Boss Dunleavy hires these judges that his radical ideas match in piurpose. Do you think for a minute That the Crime Boss of the State is going to do away with abortion? No!! Abortion at a hospital brings in big bucks and is a big money maker commercial business in hospitals and clinics and Planned Parenthood. Guess what the body part of an infant heart costs on the open market? How about a liver or spleen? Take a guess of the commercial enterprise in money and the fact that these body parts can be flown all over the world. Do you really think the Crime Boss Dunleavy will stop an enterprise like that?

Bottom line Elective Abortion is murder and should be completely outlawed.

  • Sharon says:

I can’t believe that abortion is even an option in America. Give your child up for adoption so that childless couples can have the child that you don’t want. You are being deceived & blind to murder of an innocent child. Please reconsider your decision. They are making money on your wrong decision.
