The self-acclaimed “Creepy Macabre Queen of Alaska,” a hypersexualized performer in Anchorage’s gay nightclubs, is going on a road trip to prance across the stage in front of young children at the Raven Hall building on the Alaska State Fairgrounds property.

Known as “Penny Dragful” the cross-dressing entertainer is a mainstay among various groups that promote gender fluidity, cross-sex identity and LGBTQ sexuality.

On July 11, the drag performer will be the featured entertainment for the 7th Annual Mat-Su Pride celebration, organized by The Queen’s Guard. While it is not part of the Alaska State Fair, the show will be held on the fairground’s property.

“We are so excited to gather with our community for a day filled with joy, connection, and celebration!” the organizers posted to their Facebook page. They claim the free event is “family-friendly” and encourage attendees to “bring your friends, your loved ones, and your pride!”

In promoting the event, organizers describe “Penny Dragful” as a “fun mix of spooky and camp with a touch of glamour,” and note that people can watch her perform “every weekend” at Anchorage’s preeminent gay bar – Mad Myrna’s.

The upcoming show is one of many events that The Queen’s Guard promotes for families and children. This includes queer prom dances, family game nights and others.

While organizers regularly claim that the drag performers tone it down when entertaining young children, the dancers often still use their regular gay nightclub personas, dress in sexualized attire and actively promote their upcoming adult-only shows.

“Penny Dragful’s” social media sites include images of “her” posing with mostly nude male dancers dressed in leather thongs or lingerie. The actual shows are known for leaning into horror, gothic and macabre themes blended with sexually suggestive routines.

Critics of these so-called “family-friendly” drag events often question why organizers are so intent on exposing impressionable young children to this type of entertainment.

Can’t believe this filth is being allowed to creep its way into the most conservative part of Alaska! It is not going to be an easy stain to remove!
