For months now, conservatives were dismissed for speculating that COVID shots could be mandated on federal, state and local levels. It turns out those fears were well founded.

Today, the Department of Defense said it will require all active-duty military to submit to the experimental jab by mid-September. This will affect the lives of more than 20,000 active-duty Alaskans.

Regardless of what you believe about the effectiveness of COVID shots, they do entail widely documented health risks, including death. The notion that these will simply melt away once the FDA grants full approval, as is expected later this month, is nonsense.

We are in uncertain times. While there is still no national vaccine mandate for all citizens, we are quickly approaching this threshold. Already tens of thousands of Alaskans are being forced to take the injections in order maintain their livelihoods and care for their families.

The days of persuasion and dialogue are ending, as Dr. Anthony Fauci approvingly stated this past weekend. A coalition of government and private entities are now set on tightening the noose and – if need be – squeezing the nonvaccinated to the ragged edges of society. That’s 40% of America and 48% of Alaska.
