Gov. Mike Dunleavy will deliver his fourth State of the State Address at 6:50 p.m., today (Jan. 25), at the Capitol Building in Juneau.

Lawmakers from both the House and Senate will convene in the House Chambers for annual speech in which Dunleavy will likely lay out his priorities for 2022, while touting his past accomplishments.

This will be Dunleavy’s first and only speech delivered while running for reelection. He has a growing litany of challengers, including State Rep. Christopher Kurka, Kenai Borough Mayor Charlie Pierce, former Gov. Bill Walker, former State Rep. Les Gara, Bruce Walden and Libertarian William Toien.

Last year’s speech was delivered remotely via livestream due to Covid concerns. This year, lawmakers will gather in person albeit with mandatory face masks.
