Conservative candidates had a strong showing in Fairbanks’ Borough and City elections on Oct. 4. Unofficial results show conservatives leading in six of eight races, but several are still too close to call. Each of the conservatives were recommended by Alaska Family Action’s values voter guide.

Kuba Grzeda – 46.8%

Mindy O’Neall – 84.9%

ASSEMBLY SEAT I

Barbara Haney – 51% (CONSERVATIVE)

Liz Reeves-Ramos – 48.4%

SCHOOL BOARD SEAT C – (20 votes separating them)

Brandy Harty – 49.6%

Les Nichols – 49.4% (CONSERVATIVE)

SCHOOL BOARD SEAT D

Melissa Burnett – 53.4% (CONSERVATIVE)

Kaneisha Radgosky – 45.9%

FAIRBANKS CITY MAYOR

David Pruhs – 56.5% (CONSERVATIVE)

Valerie Therrien – 42.7%

FAIRBANKS CITY COUNCIL (Seat C)

Sue Sprinkle – 43%

Richard Croteau – 38.3% (CONSERVATIVE)

FAIRBANKS CITY COUNCIL (Seat D) – (14 votes separating them)

Aaron Gibson – 49.8% (CONSERVATIVE)

Crystal Tidwell – 49.4%
